No help- But my 8 month juvie seems SO lazy his hunting skills have diminished. He literally waits for the roaches to get very close to him before he bites.

Moose does this now as well.....last night it took him 3 tries to get the roach, finally he just went after another one....Moose's problem is he is and always has been a very lazy hunter, he sits and waits for his food to walk in front of him  and sometimes they walk a little too far before he strikes and he misses, all he would have to do is move a little bit or take a step or two but nope, that's too much work for him

Balrog missed three times a roach yesterday. She licked the back of the roach (I could see the calcium powder missing) but could not get the roach. Agreed, it was an adult one, maybe the stickiness is not strong enough for the feeders...
She also got very lazy. She's probably around 10-11 months old, and used to be a great hunter. Now she waits for the roaches to reach her mouth... When I read the other posts, I see I'm not alone!

I just made a post a few days ago about this very topic! It seems that mostly everyone has this problem with their beardie once they start getting older. My questions are : Do lazy hunters get enough food to fill them and help them grow? Are they merely lazy because they're not as hungry?
I'm hoping someone really knowledgeable will come along soon and shed some light on the subject for us *fingers crossed*

I agree with Ally, everyone seems to be having this problem. Phoenix doenst miss so much but hes just too lazy to activly chase them... every once in a while he will surprise me and go get one but usually i'm playing flick the roach to get it closer to him lol

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
