These beardies have been sold to that company. The guy that bought them paid like 5,000 for them. He shut his business down just to take care of them. Since most frogs and lizards are considered display type pets, I don't think it an injustice to keep them in this manner just so long as they are kept within the food, space, and heat/light requirements. I believe this man already owns a plethera of other oddities of the reptile/amphibian sort.

Still doesn't make it right or fair to the animal.

You have no idea how much time and effort barbara puts into Z and W to keep them alive and healthy and I sincerely doubt that any freak show will give t this poor creature the attention that she gives Z and W. It is ashamed for any animal to end up in a freak show because it is unique.

Now playing devils advocate. How do we know what care these 2 are getting.
If the care is there I see No issue whatsoever in being part of a display show. It all comes down to the care of the animal in question.
Hell If I had a healthy 2 headed dragon, I may do the same thing. We all know the time and effort I put into my poopers. Does that make Me wrong?

Ever been to a animal "freak show"?

I have yet to hear anyone say how healthy and happy the animals looked.

But we are talking of the little guys in this video.
They look healthy to Me. If the care continues they will stay that way.

Thats because they only left the breeder that hatched them a week ago. I am sure he cared for them well as he stood to make a lot of money off of them.

I doubt the dragon will be offended by the term "freak"... or any animal for that matter. If it's an oddity of nature, then why not show it to the world? In case you haven't noticed, Barb kinda does the same thing with Z&W (to a lesser extent, as they're not actually being shown in person and there's no money involved), by posting so much about their daily lives from hatch to current. As long as he's healthy then I see nothing wrong with it.

HOWEVER, if it's poorly cared for then yeah I agree that it is horrible.

Fair to the animal? First of all, I doubt very seriously if a bearded dragon cares that it's been labeled as such. Secondly, If the lizards are getting the care they need, then who cares if this guy charges admission to see them? There are far more serious things that happen to beardies every day when inexperienced owners buy and neglect. This guy paid big bucks for these lizards, don't mean they'll get the proper care, but hopefully all will be alright.

Barb posting photographs and videos of Z&W on here for those of us that are insterested to see how she has been able to make them progress is not even remotely similar to this animal being on display in a freak show for glaring eyes and tapping fingers to ridicule all day. :angry5: :angry5:

I am done with this.

Once again, I doubt the bearded dragon cares so much about ridicule, glaring eyes, and tapping fingers as you seem to.

Do you know anything about reptiles?

You do realize that their stress level is based by a large part on their environment. Wouldn't you get stressed if someone sat there tapping on a glass pain in front of your face? Whatever I can't comment on this any longer ill end up getting in trouble with the Mods.

You said tapping fingers, not tapping on glass. That's a different story. Besides, the feel I get from you is that it's upsetting that they be labeled and marketed as freaks. I think you are generalizing this guy as someone who isn't going to take care of them based on some experience you may of had as a kid at some run-down roadside, gas station attraction. I say give this guy a chance without already deciding he's not going to take care of them. He already owns a ton of other reptiles that he seems to do well with. Furthermore, I'm well aware of how to take care of and support a large variety of animals from frogs and lizards to ducks and horses. I'll thank you to not generalize my knowledge as you have others.

Actually it is stressful to them. Well let me just say that it would be stressful to any of my beardies including Z&W.
Zak-n-Wheezie are hams and do like to take ventures out into the public but they also like to have the quietness of their own viv when they are tired of people.

My stepdaughter and 4 grandchildren were here for about 3 weeks last month. I can tell you that my beardies were so stressed with the constant tapping and probing of little fingers in their directions.

But all aside if the OP paid for this set of beardies I'd like to think they would do all they could for it...rather than think that the OP is thinking about what they could do for them. Though if both can be arranged without stressing the animal...well to each his own. I know in the beginning that I was often accused of keeping them/Z&W to up my sells like they would be a publicity item...However we are all driven by different things. Some people material things an;or money means the most to them...others are more humble and simple like myself. I prefer the simple treasures in life that can not be bought.

Freakshow I hope that I've not offended you in anyway this wasn't my intention. I would like to see and hear more about your boys and how you came about getting them. If you ever have any questions or concerns that I might be able to help with feel free to ask.

They/the beardies are beautiful regardless of this discussion....

Enough of the flame wars people! I'd like the OP to come back so I could see more and hear more about these babies.

I agree with what you have said. As for the tapping, when he wrote that, I was picturing someone tapping a table with their fingers and staring, not tapping on glass. Lost in translation I suppose. I agree with different terms of motivation for some, but if they are cared for properly and safely, more knowledge about the species may be gained from some that would otherwise know nothing. From knowledge can sprout interest and love.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
