I have always used the 100watt with any of the MVB's, would that be the same with these Solar Glo's? ie: 125 rather than l60?

I would go with the 125 watt. Tracie mentioned to me that the heat these bulbs produce was just about equal to the Megaray.

That's what I would order, do you use reptisun?, I'll order a few of the Glo and try it out, the other half will use reptisun.

I'm using 3 Repti-Suns and one 100 watt T-Rex that is of the E1 batch and it's working fine, Judas is loving it. It was made before the changes were done. Not sure what I'm going to do when it's time to replace the bulb though. I had the bulb but had only put it in a few months ago so it still has a lot of good time left. I'm hoping things will be all straightened out before the time runs out but, if not, I may get a Solar Glo too.

I agree Vicky, they BETTER have it all straightened out soon. Glad you got your refund, I actually got mine yesterday, shortly after I had the Live Chat with them.

I would really like to get one bulb for both UVB and heating, I was suggested to get the T-Rex active UV Heat 100 watt flood... but hearing all the issues in this post im nervous to even try! What should i do??? Any other single bulbs recommended? :?

Well you have a few options.First you can hold off until the new batch of TRex is ready as those should be just fine, this of course is providing that you currently have good UVB and just want to switch.You can also visit some of the local herp shops and see if they have the older stock in as most of the problem bulbs were through the internet.As long as they are not stamped with J1,K1,L1 you should be ok for example my local shop has 2 good bulbs in stock because they dont sell them too often.The other option is to go with a solar glo bulb as they seem to be doing ok also. TRex does have another bulb which I will be testing for myself soon called the Standard UV heat which was not made by Westron so it should not have the same issues as these Active UV but as I said they are untested at the moment although I am hoping they turn out to be a viable solution.

Just wondering what the time frame was on the T-rex remakes? I am happy to hear that everyone is having a relatively easy time getting their refunds then without much of any complications.
The Solar Glo 125watts that we are using now for the last couple of months, are working fine. I am happy with them though they are not as strong as the Megarays are which are my preference, they are safe & our dragons like them. So, I am happy that they are working out right now.

I dont have the time frame yet.Alan was supposed to get in touch with Westron today but he hasnt gotten in touch with me yet.I think Westron was being a tad difficult about it so he was having issues nailing them down.As soon as I hear about anything I will let you know.That is great news that the solar glos are working and the babies are happy with them.It is good to have options lord knows now a days we really need them. :wink:

Tracie, thanks for filling everyone in about your beardies liking the Solar Glo, that was good info to share.

I just heard back from Frances about the 100 watt T-Rex Active UV that I sent to her for testing. It certainly does explain why Sabrina was having so many issues with it. I'm sure that Frances will be giving us all more detailed info before too long.
