Hi Barbara, I didn't realize you were feeding them some baby food, too, which is a great idea re: tail and arm/leg nips. I just have to look at Issy and Rubio to know how hungry babies can be; they were unlucky enough to have a biter baby in with them. But they're big and healthy now, especially Rubio, I can't get over it, he's now 670 grams and just over 20" long and a bright golden citrus to boot. His back stripe is mid olive and he has blue side bars. Issy is the colour of the baby you were talking about, she was darker as a baby, but she's turning light brown/olive body with pale olive back stripe and copper ovals and side bars, beside dark olive side bars. So you just never know, looks like there are going to bright dragons like Private Blaze and combinations of citrus/orange. He's so bright coloured. Ms Tiggs is darker, but gets golden like Sweetie, right?
The babies continue to amaze me, so I'm glad you're amazed, too. But 27 more in a week :shock: where will you put them all while they're growing. It must be awful dealing with the heat you have, thank god Frank is an air-conditioning expert, he must make sure your home is as cool as it can be, plus it makes a good living for you all. I'm hoping the heat wave will break up some soon where you are and here, too, it's up over 90F now during the day, I know that sounds much cooler to you, but when you're used to at the max 80F, 90F is very hot indeed.I was hoping the heat waves we've been having would head east around NY and Quebec where they need the sun. My aunt in Quebec hasn't been able to put her garden in hardly because of rain. I've already asked her to send some this way, too. We all need a cool down, right?
But back to the babies, I keep looking at that video to watch how they all move and I see different things each time; it's hard to keep your eyes on all that movement! So when things get less frantic (in a month or so :roll: ) you can make another video of the youngsters! How are the parents doing? Isn't it amazing that they, as dragons, have no interest in their young? I know they're reptiles, but they seem so different to other reptiles. Don't mind me, time for bed!!!
So take care, try not to get too frazzled :mrgreen:
Hugs to all; and bugs and snuggles to al your dragons;
Deborah and our zoo
and, of course, as many pics as you can manage between dragons, babies, eggs, grandkids, your son and your hubby...Hi Frank!!!
