I took Kiki outside today for the first time in her life!! (I know, how sad, but to be fair weather has been nasty here)
Due to the positioning of my house, the whole backyard doesn't get hit with sun, only the far side by the fence, so I had to hold her up in the sun on my hands for some time.
But I noticed something that really got me to thinking.
A breeze rolled by and I immediately noticed Kiki taking notice of it. She look confused like "what just happened?" Which made me reflect on how we take a lot of things for granted.
Here is a creature who has never felt the wind before, it was strange to her. We feel the wind every day (well most of us) and think nothing of it. It really has been kind of a reminder to not take the simple things in life for granted, such as how the wind feels, or how the rays of the sun feel against your skin, because there could be a time where you one day might not be able to enjoy these seemingly forgotten pleasures.
Anyways, enough with that talk lol. Here are some pictures.
Kiki's beard really wasn't this dark, it was just the lighting. However you can notice the rest of her body is a bit darker, and not her usual bright self. I'd assume that being outside for the first time was a lot to take in.
She sure is growing
