Hello Everyone!

For those of you who do not already know... I am about to welcome the newest member of my family.... Bligg!
He is on his way to my house right now... via the big brown viv.. aka as UPS :D

Bligg is one of Barbara's (fresnowitte) babies born out of wedlock to Ms.Tiggs and Blaze. His name I came up with by blending his parents names together.... Blaze + Tigg = Bligg

Here is the story of Bligg.... the little beardie who has been melting my heart for the past 56 days and will very soon be here at his forever home in Florida!

Bligg was born on July 15th in a small farm house in Fresno, CA.

Here is Bligg making his grand entrance

Okay, so I have some pics :D
The first few are of my adorable little stinker basking. He was not a happy camper, because mommy snagged him out from under his rock and told him it was time to get up!

Bligg has a tendancy to bite supers in half. He then allows the leftover half to suffer by not eating it. This one lived through the night and had made his way around the tank numerous times before I decided to give him a decent burial. With one swift pull of the handle, he made his way around the toilet bowl numerous times as well

Thought I would share a few pics of a recent boat trip. There was some nasty weather and we ended up cutting our trip short and heading back home. Got some great shots of the sky though!

We ended up beaching the boat in a cove until the worst of the weather passed through. This little guy was there with us.

For a moment we thought the sky was going to clear up. It only lasted for about 20 minutes, then the thunder and lightening started, so we went home :(

When we got home... we found this  Someone does not like thunder!

OK, the whole superworm mutilation thing was gross. No, wait, it was beyond gross :puke:

Bliggy is afraid of thunder?! Uh oh, better not let his little sister hear that :laughing6:

Some years ago, I had a crane like that living in my backyard for a few days. It showed up one day and didn't want to leave, even with the dogs around.

What a beautiful photo!

Damn it! I need a sticky not on my computer saying "DON'T READ DAWN'S THREADS WHILE EATING!"
That's funny about him not liking thunder. Lilly's never minded, but one storm absolutely freaked until I tucked her into a blanket. Once she was burritoed I guess she felt secure and went to sleep.
The scenery from your trip is beautiful, I sure hope you all can somehow avoid the oil. That whole thing breaks my heart :(

Dawn, Bliggy looks great (even his scaredy cat pic) The picture of the blue sky is gorgeous!!! My girls almost always bite the supers in half, I'm convinced that they don't like eating the heads!! Have you weighed Bligg lately?

I wonder if they don't like those supper heads moving around in their stomach. I have found them crawling around the counter the next day after cutting them off. (I decapitate worms before feeding them) I don't know how they can live so long like that, but I wonder if it could give a beardie a belly ache having them crawling around in their tummy like that? Bliggy looks great. Don't disappear again though, don't know if I can take another pic of a big, hairy dude in a speedo. That was scary!

Great pictures Dawn, Bligg looks wonderful. We knew he's bounce back. :D

The blue skies picture was gorgeous. You really captured the stormy skies too.

Isn't it amazing how the supers can continue to move around with only 1/2 of their body or without a head, really creepy.

Um yeah! He is not the bravest of males  Rex is not fazed in the least by sounds, then again her viv is in my 13 y.o. son's room, if that tells you anything, LOL

Thanks Vicky! The bird is actually a Blue Heron, very similar to a crane though.
Yes, I do love a good hijack. They are most welcome on my threads.
Everyone needs a good laugh.. at least once a day, does the body/mind good! :D

Thanks Sara! The oil disaster breaks my heart too! Unfortunately, the way things are going, I don't see how we can avoid it. We are getting the tar balls and items slimed with oil on our beach, so it's only a matter of time before the actual slick hits. It is a sad time for all. The poor people in LA, who are obviously dealing with the worst of it, are suffering terribly. My heart goes out to them.

Yeah, I don't get it! Rex eats the whole thing.. head and all.. nothing left to escape!

Wendy, I think you are supposed to throw the heads away after decapitation. I would freak if I saw one crawling on my counter the next day

Hello everyone! I feel like such a stranger to this site as of late. Been busy with life in general and don't seem to get on here as much as I would like :(

Bliggy is doing wonderful and is still eating and growing. He loves being out of his tank and has quite the fascination with my closet, where I find him curled up in a corner most times.
I am happy to report that since giving him the Critical Care in April, he has put on 100 grams.
My boy is now weighing in at 428 grams and I couldn't be happier :blob8:

I wish he ate more than he does, which brings me to Katrina's question... he is eating around 10-12 supers a day and a full salad. I offer more worms, but he tends to turn his back and stick his nose up. Little stinker! It might be time to put in another order of horns for my two kiddos. Bligg ate those horns like there was no tomorrow.

I hope all is well with everyone. Miss you guys!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
