Temp Gun

Is a Temp Gun a better choice than a digital thermometer?
Is there are particular brand to look for or avoid?

I have two that I use; Ive had them for so long I couldnt honestly tell you what brand. BUT i will tell you they are not as accurate; if you arnt careful. If i have to shoot through the side of the tank, or im too close to this or that, my readings are off.

i have the Zilla but dont feel too comfortable relying on it.
