tank size...

what size tank should a full grown dragon be in? i've gotta year old dragon and my tank measures 18w 17h 36L just wondering when or if i should upgrade to a bigger one...

Sounds like you have a 40 gal breeder. That is considered the minimum for a single adult beardie......ideal would be a 4x2 enclosure.

i've heard some lizards can grow to whatever the tank size is and i wasnt sure if beardies were like that or not and i wanted to mine to be the normal size they're supposed to be so i wanted to make sure i have the right tank size.

What you're talking about is stunting the growth of reptiles by giving them a small enclosure. It is unhealthy and does not let them thrive. Your current size will be fine for one adult to grow to average size.

where can i get a 50 or 55g tank at? i'm having trouble finding anything bigger than a 40g at the pet stores...

The only place I could find a decent sized tank (without having to also get an aquarium light set included) was my local pet store. If you have a pet store that isn't petsmart/petco, go there and look for tanks. My local store has tons of fish tanks of all different sizes.
