Does anyone know where I can find a decent prices 55 gallon tank. And what type of sand should I use for my bearded dragon or should I keep the repti-carpet. Mushu is about 12 inches long.
Craigslist is a good site for tanks and lots more. My son and I both got our 50's there. Sand is not recommended. I have ceramic tiles left over from my bathroom remodel - work great for clean up. Not only can sand cause digestive problems...........it becomes smelly after a while.
craigslist for the 55 tank...my beardie is 13 inches long and he is on sifted play sand.. if hes a messy eater than i would suggest the repticarpet but my beardie likes the sand to sleep on and hes not a messy eater. a lot of people use tile since its easy to clean. but sand is there natural habitat thats also a reason i have mine on sand
Half of my tank is sand and the other is tile. Garno is right, my beardie seems to like to sleep in the playsand too. I had the repti-carpet when my beardie was a baby but it looked dirty most of the time. Good luck on finding a tank
I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
