Tails of Twitch and Hermes

folks, we are alive and thriving! Camera working and all. Have cute pics just can't remember how to upload. Anyone?

Sorry it took me so long getting back here, something in the thread subscription went amiss, but I found you again. :laughing6: Thank you so much for updating Hermes's pictures. :love5: It is good to know he has done so well with you. :headbang: I will see what pics I can find for him as a little guy. I do have my notes on his clutch, and he pipped from egg #6 in Astarte's 3rd clutch on August 15, sometime between 2 pm and 4 pm. He finished hatching on August 16, between 12:15 pm and 12:28 pm, and I may have a picture of him with just his head out of the egg. I walked out of the room for a few minutes and he was out when I came back in! :roll: He was 4 and 1/8 inches long, straight out of the egg, with no yolk sac, but the little opening for the sack not completely closed up yet. Somebody is almost 2 years old!

8/31/08 4 3/4" and first weigh-in at 3 grams (I got my new scale that day and EVERYBODY got weighed! :wink: )
9/06/08 5", weight 4gms.
9/20/08 5 1/2" and 6 gms.

I also did weights and measure on 9/29 and 10/09/08 but cannot find the page with Hermes's data on it. :? There were regular weigh-ins for every one of my dragons through the end of 2008, but the rest of those pages are missing and probably gone forever. :| My accident was in January of 2009, and things started getting a little strange after that. I hope you are all well and coming through your various changes with ease. Keep me posted, and I will find those pictures!

Hermes, has pipped from egg 6, and a little dragon I called Fireball, pipped from egg 4.

Heads up, Hermes!

Fireball is out while Hermes and Pi (in egg 1) continue resting in their eggs.

"Come on, Hermes, let's get outta here!"

Pi gets up as well, but Hermes slumbers on.

We had my birthday party here at the beginning of July, and Trey's birthday was 7/25. We were having friends over last weekend, and still had not taken down the birthday decorations (lazy, I know!) I was like, let's leave them up and say we're celebrating Hermes' birthday! :lol: but no, we took them down. I wish I knew when Twitchie was hatched... it's so neat to have all the information from MaryAnn, and yes, we still have his egg!

Hi! :wave: Sorry to be a slacker. Life's crazy right now we found out yesterday we have to move the 1st week of October, and Lee's daughter is getting married on 10/10 in Arizona so just trying to hold on to our sanity for the next few weeks. Apartment hunting begins in earnest tomorrow. Wish us luck! Here's a couple pics from this week:

Both beardies are having growth spurts, it's crazy! I haven't measured or weighed sorry, maybe after we move and settle in. But here's how poor Twitchie's face looks this week, I call it her 'Santa Twitch' look

Hi Aimee,

Thank you for the Hermes pics, and Twitch as well! Hermes's coloring is very much like their mom's colors. Hermes has gotten bigger than I thought he might. It will be interesting to see his weight and length when you have the time. Take whatever time you need, I'll be here whenever you get it :wink: ! I still have Emmy, who is more of a pale orange, (and they are probably close in size,) and Tweezie who has a little bit of the yellow. (I have opened Tweezie's thread again here, viewtopic.php?f=44&t=91536 ) Their dad may have been a red dragon, much smaller than Astarte, but I do not know this for certain, and have lost the contact info for the family that had them.
Good luck with the house hunt! I know what fun :roll: it is to move, and wish you well with the whole process! :laughing6:
