Tail concern

Does this look like cause for concern? I was told by the previous owners that he was born that way and it's nothing to worry about, but I'm not sure.

some beardies are born with a defect where their body just wont absorb calcium properly. a vet visit is probably important to figure out if this is the case. The kink probably happened while still in the egg, and is totally normal. Often babies will come out of the egg with a slight bend in their tail some grow out of it and some never do. There isnt anything you can do for it.

Yes, he may have hatched with a slight kink or developed it as he grew, more likely it was that. The tip was lost to some trauma, often a bite from a clutchmate at some point. It should be fine and no special treatment is necessary. If you want the tail end to shed more easily you can apply plain aloe gel with nothing added.
