Swollen back leg,..

beardie's right thigh is big and hard.
the other limbs all reg. size.
i can't see any sign off injury.
she is alone in her viv.
i am baffled,vet closed, im really conserned.

any of you seen or heard of this?

Hi there! Im not sure exactly whats happening myself but has your beardie recently shed? sometimes they dont fully shed and when they grow the parts of shed that didnt come off can get tighter and tighter. I dont know if this is it but thats all I know of...sorry I couldnt be more help

it looks and feels like she has a gumball n one leg.

although i will be givin her warm soaks till i can get 2 da vet.

i removed stuck shed many times..
its wierd...its like hard,..strange.

plz say a blessing foe "spooky".

i dont know how old she is.
some1 dropped her off @ an expo.

Hello,

How long has it been swollen like that for?
It could be a tumor, an abscess, or a pregout syndrome causing renal issues which causes swelling of extremities, etc.
For now, all you can do is monitor her. Try to get some extra oral fluids into her as well until you can get a blood test on her to figure out what in the world is going on.
Is she eating anything right now?
What type of lighting are you using, do you have a UVB light? If so, what type & brand are you using? A fluorescent tube bulb or a compact/coil light?

she is still eating,and drinking. it really don't seem to bother her much.
thur. i had her out and didn't notice any swelling,sat is when we noticed.
we use reptisun 10.0 tube bulbs for all our beardies.

Hello,

I really think a vet visit should be scheduled. It doesn't sound like metabolic bone disease at all, so it only leaves a couple of other options such as a tumor, or a cyst. Do you have a vet that you can take her to go see?
Good to hear that she is eating well right now & doesn't seem to be bothered by it so far.

just got back from the vet. he couldn't find anything wrong, he thinks it's an infection.
i don't know.
he gave us baytril,and metacam.

What are the dosages on each and your beardie's weight?

she is 461g
0.1 ml once a day baytril
.15 metacam once a day.(i think) the syringes are pre loaded)
