OK i have a 250v lamp and summer is approaching. Do i need to change the temp in the cage? If so how?
My dragon basks on driftwood. Should i switch to a rock? Does my dragon need to be up close to the light?

The volts of the light is irrelavent... its the wattage you wanna know about. As your ambient temp goes up you might need to lower the heat coming from the bulb. Your beardie does not need to be anywhere near the light as long as his basking spot gets hot enough.

Your bulb will be labelled with a certain wattage. As for a dimmer switch you can get ones that would plug inbetween your lamp cord and the wall socket.... then just dim the light abit until you get the temp you want.

There is no way its 660W. LOL yes your light should be turned off at night..... do you like to sleep with a light in your face?

It's actually plausible that the lamp itself does have a maximium wattage of 660. That's just telling you what the socket can handle before, you know, it starts melting or starting a fire. But depending on the the actual bulb style of the lamp, you could be limited by a max of 60w. Besides, do you think you could seriously put a bulb with 660w on an animal? It would be dead in less than an hour.

Anyway, stop looking at your lamp. Its irrelevant as it isn't the thing emmiting heat. Look at the bulb. There will text stamped on there telling you what the maximium watts are. Things like 45w, 60w, 75w... etc.

Unless you're using the term lamp to describe your lightbulb. Which I'm doubting.

Just go regular. Maybe increase a bath or two to help aid with the shed once it's starting to come off.

Really you only need to worry about adjusting the bulb temps once winter rolls to summer and vice versa. How are you currently checking the temps in your dragons vivarium? Do you have a digital thermostat or a temperature gun?

OK. I use Repti-Sun 10.0 and i use 100w for basking. My thermometer says 101 degrees for basking 90 degrees for the warm side and 72 degrees for the cold side

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
