I bought a a bigger sized carpet then I needed, and cut it to size,so I take mine our regularly to clean, and throw them away if they get nasty.PastelBeardie":xo2uj6yy said:After a while reptile carpet smells and if it smells, it's probably full of germs. Paper towel is a really popular choice, and it's what I've been using. When Baldric (the beardie) came, I decided to try non-adhesive shelf liner, and it's so much nicer looking and so easy to wipe clean that last night I went and bought enough to use it in the gecko cages, too. It's what I'd recommend. When you're in the store, take a good whiff of the roll first. Some types of shelf liner smell like plastic and your beardie probably won't like that, and others are fine.
Nice. Do you use one whole piece, or is it in sections?morphmom":3d6umy3n said:I made my own substrate! Flannel! It's warm, slip resistant, takes 100's of washes, is absorbent and comes in every color and pattern you can think of! I LOVE it!
LOL! Well, thank you. I imagin you could use any material, (polar fleece doesn't even need to be stitched ) I just really like how tuff flannel is. Also, I really recommend puting paper towel under the food dish at meal time. One sheet is fine. Leafy greens just love to stick to fabric! :roll:jwideman":ipeouo2a said:Ah ha. That's fiendishly clever.
