Studly Dudley! ♥ *Massive Picture Overload 7/30*

My dad just randomly came home with him! He is cutest thing ever, and has tons of chub! He just dived into his salad!
Hes 2 years old, 15-17 in. long (has pretty good sized nip) and 442 grams... Dyed from red sand, so I cant see his colors.

Yup, I got back on the 24th. Dudley was being a little brat while I was gone... The only person we would eat worms for was my friend's dad, LOL!

I'm working on switching Dud over to some different feeders though, right now. Apparently, his super worm addiction could be part of the reason he isn't eating his veggies!So we will be going back to crickets for a while, and hopefully I can convince my mom to let me get some Dubia.

Oh, and I'm working on taking some post-worthy pictures too!

Sorry, I've been neglecting this thread! But for a good reason... Check out what I bought for Dudley on Friday!!

It was really gross and dirty when I bought it, but I've cleaned it pretty well, put new caulk on it, and I'm getting the new light fixtures for it tonight I think. It's kinda old so it needed some work, but for $90 it isnt half bad LOL! It should be completely set up before next weekend, so I'll take some pics then!

Nothing new is really happening with Dudley though right now. I'll post new pics sooner if I can get some new ones! He is yawning and flaring out his little beard right now, LOL. What a little show off. :roll:

I disagree. Something is definitely happening with Dudley. He is improving his stud factor. That is AWESOME. Is he eating well for you now? Clovis has decided that vegetation and pooping are for pansies and has abstained from both for a week. I don't even know. Hopefully they sell mineral oil at the grocery store because stuff is about to get REAL.

He has been doing a lot better, actually. I've been giving him some "tough love", and he is getting less supers less often right now, and I'm trying to use more crickets instead. He decided he would rebel and will only eat crickets if they were specifilcally hand fed to him in his viv with a tweezers. :roll: So, umm, still working on that part of it LOL. He will usually eat a couple bites of collards every day though, which is a definate improvement. He still wants to sleep during the day, but I wake him up when I get home from school.

BTW, try applesause. It's worked better than anything else I've used! I hope Clovis feels better soon!

Well, almost! I decided to put him in quick so he could check it out. He promptly decided he needed to climb up his log and launch himself up to the vents, so he could hang from them.

Thanks for the applesaucevadvice btw. 1.3 mls Wednesday and 2 mls yesterday, so hopefully poop will happen soon. How much should I give and how long should I wait before taking him to the vet to make sure he is not impacted? It has been at least a week. :? :?

The flooring might be an issue though, he was slipping and sliding a little. :| So IDK what I'm gonna do about that.

Maybe you could try shelf liner for the floor, the non adhesive kind. It could give him more traction.

That's my favorite substrate, but the widest I could find was 20". :| I'll look around online and see if I can find some wider stuff on Amazon or something. I do like the look of the linoleum though!

I just put Dudley in his viv again to explore it (finally got the temps right!) and he was SO happy, it was adorable! He turned his really pretty orange and lavander citrus colors, and I've NEVER seen him that light colored before except for when he is sleeping! :love5: I literally had to drag him out when it was time to go back into his old cage, and I have big scratches going down my arms now... He didn't want to leave, I felt so bad!

He is being permanently moved in tomorrow though, so he will be happy again soon! I'm so excited!!!
He enjoyed taking an epic leap off of his basking platform too. :roll: I saw him about to leap, and I'm like "Noooo! Don't do it!" but of course he launched himself anyways, plopped down on the floor, and immediately waddled over to the wall to glass dance. :lol:
