Studly Dudley! ♥ *Massive Picture Overload 7/30*

My dad just randomly came home with him! He is cutest thing ever, and has tons of chub! He just dived into his salad!
Hes 2 years old, 15-17 in. long (has pretty good sized nip) and 442 grams... Dyed from red sand, so I cant see his colors.

Thanks, I hope so too! I'm already saving up for renovating it, and it should be much cheaper than buying an already made one or making one from scratch.

Dudley isn't feeling very well today for some reason though. He has had a full black beard all day, wasn't interested in food, and when he went to the bathroom it was a little runny and gross... I hope the egg I fed him yesterday didn't upset his tummy?! I gave him a nice 30 minute bath at 5:00, and his black beard hasn't returned so hopefully he is OK! Poor little guy, I wish I knew what was wrong.

He may just be cranky because he is itchy and shedding. That bath probably felt good on his dry skin, so the black beard went away.

I hope that's all, he might be sad if he can never have eggs again! He did shed part of his lip today. I took him out and held him a little bit, and now he is normal colors... Maybe he just wanted some love?

When you said the thing about eggs I was confused for a sec because I thought you meant he would be sad if he could never LAY eggs again, hehehe! Too many preggers beardies around, I have got scaley babies on the brain!

LOL, no! Laying eggs wouldn't be very manly of him!

I'm taking my poor bunny to the vet in a few minutes, because I found a lump on his jaw last night. He has problems with his teeth, and I'm really worried that it is a molar root abscess. Any one with bunnies know that those are basically impossible to get out (You have to do surgery to get out all the puss and infected tissue, and possibly even pull teeth) and they keep coming back. My poor baby.

He is doing better now- The vet put him on some Baytril, and the abscess is getting smaller. He doesn't think it has anything to do with his teeth though, so that is great news. But even if the antibiotics get rid of it for now, it still could come back so he might need it lanced at some point. That's not a huge deal, just a little bit expensive LOL.

Dudley still doesn't want to eat though. If I hand feed him and put supers right up to his mouth he will eat a few, but that's it. :| I'm pretty sure it is from the shed though- His whole mouth and parts of his face are turning pale, and he has some patches on his legs and tail that look like they might shed soon too. I've been giving him daily baths to help with it, so I hope he is feeling more comfortable soon. He's been going to the bathroom every day though lately, so I guess that's a good sign. He must be eating enough, LOL.

I got some cute pics of him and Smudge (bunny) that I'll have to post this weekend.

No, I'm still wating on his mouth to shed. :| Poor guy, he looks uncomfortable.

I'm a little worried about him right now though. He hasn't had much of an appetite at all, and he has been sleeping more again... It's like he is going into a second brumation or something! Arrgggg. I'm leaving for FL on Wednesday, so I won't be around to make sure he is OK. This is why I kinda hate vacations: I don't want to leave my furry/scaley babies!!
My friend/neighbor is coming over to feed him every day, and I have the lights and CHE on timers, but he won't be taken out or bathed. And I'm worried that he won't eat now either. I really hope that this is just because of the shed!

LOL, I have a cute little animal friendship blossoming here.

For some reason, Dudley is obsessed with my bunny, Smudge. When he is running around, the second I take my eyes off him he makes a mad dash for Smudge's cage. And if I have the gate on Smudge's cage, he will literally spend a good 20 minutes trying to get it! (He finally figured out which bar he fits under, LOL). Smudge actually doesn't mind Dudley, which is funny cause he usually has a zero-tolerance policy for other animals in "his" space!

Here is a video of Dudley trying to break into Smudge's cage. BTW, I don't really talk like that LOL! I was talking in a weird voice to Dud and Smudge, and then the camera made it sound even weirder XD So feel free to shut off the volume.

Clovis is taking a leaf out Dudley's book and hasn't been into buggies for days. He is still just nibbling salads as well. Why don't these crazy guys eat?

No, Smudge isn't really a snuggler... He likes it if you pet his head, but his attention span is aproximately 5 minutes LOL so he won't sit with you for very long. Unless you have food of course.

Dudley actually ate a bunch of squash this morning, and 3 supers. So not too bad I guess. I left for FL today so I'm not home to check on him.
I hope Clovis eats for you again soon!
