Studly Dudley! ♥ *Massive Picture Overload 7/30*

My dad just randomly came home with him! He is cutest thing ever, and has tons of chub! He just dived into his salad!
Hes 2 years old, 15-17 in. long (has pretty good sized nip) and 442 grams... Dyed from red sand, so I cant see his colors.

Awe poor dud ! I don't find anythin adorable about horn worms maybe when they are tiny!! But not when they are huge! That's when they freak me out the most!!!!! I get to chop them up and feed them sorry!! And how nasty are butter worms! Uh never knew they made web things! When I first opened them i thought maybe a spider was in there :roll: repiworms look like giant maggots, crix are too jumpy and smell!! And Iam deathly afraid of roaches!!! He will prob never have dubia!!!!!
Gee the things we do / touch to feed our babies!!

OMG, butterworms make webs?! Well, there's another feeder Dud will be deprived of. Gross! :shock: The hornworm will surely die though, because the moths that they turn into are horrifying. I hate moths. I thought that the Phoenix worms were slightly cute for maggots, but they didn't have faces so I didn't feel bad killing them.
It just looked really adorable when it was sleeping! I've never seen a bug actually sleep like that before. It was so weird!
I don't mind roaches, except for the wings. I hate bugs with wings LOL. But at least they don't jump at you like crickets do!

I thought the same thing when I finally saw what they look like. I like caterpillars and can't bring myself to hurt one. They're one of the few bugs I actually like.

Waxworms don't bother me. They don't move til they're warmed up so if they aren't moving, I'm fine with them. Crix don't freak me out anymore except the big ones but I'm getting used to them since I have to deal with them at work. Considering dubia cuz don't they fill them up faster than crix do? So they eat less? If I get dubia, I just can't tell the roommates. LOL

Haha, he is a weirdy isn't he? I'm pretty sure he was expecting me to bring it to him, but apparently is was worth using engery for.
LOL, after he eats something, he always stares at the spot it used to be, like he is waiting for another buggie to just pop up! :roll:

hehehehe dudley is super cute as for the attacking the hornworm he acted like Bowen (my baby) when i give him crickets he'll stare them down but he also will stare at one and then stare at me like hey arent you goint to flick it to me? hes so funny and horn worms i dont think the state of GA will sell them cause they are actually wild here they attacked my mums pepper plants last year and found it was a tomato worm and after doing some looking up bout the horn worm after finding this site i found out wat it is hehehe

Yeah, Dud thinks everything is nummy... I guess beardies don't consider the cuteness of their food LOL. :roll:

I took a video of him eating the 2nd worm too, and as soon as he saw it he flew off his basking rock and devoured it! No more hesitation, I almost missed it!
More pictures soon! It's a beautiful day, so I might try out Dudley's new outdoor pen.

I loved how he stared at the spot where the worm used to be, lol. You can see his eyes darting as he looks for more, then he's kind of like ooooh well.

The first time I gave Sarth a hornworm he stared at it for a loooong time. I think he thought it was a piece of lettuce or something, lol. Here's a video of Sarth eating his first dubia, I find it pretty funny.

And yea I didn't know butterworms spun webs either!! I ordered some and when I got them and opened them up I thought a spider had gotten in there Same with the silk worms!
