Sticking head in sand

Hey there again my beardie is sticking its head down into the sand when it walks is this normal is she looking for something? plz respond much appreciated.

she does not always do it but quite often when she walks she will push her head into the sand like she is looking for something or she can't support it but i am not sure what this means or what she is doing so if anyone has any info plz help

Sand is definately the worst substrate for your beardie. He could get impaction, even though it says digestible. Tile is the best option for substrate and the closest thing to their natural habitat. Please get rid of the sand before it harms your beardie!!!

Papertowels work wonderfully for a temporary substrate.
