As bedding and it works awesome. Silly cheap, and Im not soaking as much slate every day. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this, and has had as good luck as I have

how does one use millet as bedding? Is it ground up and compacted? My birds love to eat millet, but I've never heard of using it as a substrate. I still like the tile I have in my enclosure; italian rough marble, yyyeeeaaahhhh!

Same here. Our cockatiel goes crazy for her millet. Oooh, italian rough marble. Lucky beardie!

I use millet for my guy as well. I think it works fine. My dragon hasn't had any problems with it.
Millet cleans as nicely as sand. Your beardie can dig in it, move it around and it keeps the crickets fed!!

it's a seed that's been cultivated for thousands of years as a foodstuff. More recently it's grown for bird food in modernized countries. When I was in India I saw them growing it to make a flour out of. I've had millet bread before, it's quite good.

I don't remember which vendor, but someone used to sell it in the reptile industry, it was like $16 for 2lbs. Now I buy 20lbs for $13, covers multiple tanks. Its loose already, not on the branches like what birds eat.
