I dont know that it is "normal" or not, but I have seen mine do it. So I know that it does happen!

Mine girl little bit is shedding. She hasn't eaten any of it that I can tell. She really isn't eating much this evening. This is the first time I have seen her shed. I did give her a bath this evening.
When they are shedding do they not eat as much? Just wondering. I'm new at this. Thanks.. Heather

I caught Ike eating his skin after shedding before. He also eats less so yes, it is normal for your beardie to eat less than normal or none at all. It's just from him/her being uncomfortable.

Haha, my Barnaby went to taste his skin and it got stuck on his chin for like 5 minutes! He was running around his viv with a huge piece of back skin on his face!! :laughhard:

haha, my dragon has done this b4, i wasnt sure if he was confusing his shedded skin with a cricket or if he was just curious, he took a small bite and walked away lol

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
