Why do dragons tilt there head and puff out there beards??? What dose it mean

Black bearding means they are upset by something.

Also if they are shedding, they will do it to help get the old shed off.

She is not sheding and she don't have a black beard she justs puffs it out sometimes not all the tone just once in a blue moon do you think she is stretching ???

What was happening when you saw your beardie puffing out it's beard? Who or what was around?

Beardies will, like children, will sometimes test what they can get away with. Puffing of the beard (blackend or not) is a symbol of dominance and/or irritation. It could simply be that your beardie was trying to see who the alpha was....him or whoever was near him. I have noticed in the mornings that my beardie sometimes puffs his beard at me when I am cleaning his enclosure...it's not blackend and he shows no sign of irritation...it's almost like he is "offended" i am disturbing him at 730am...lol.

As for the head tilts...that is usually just him looking around...no different than you or I scanning a room with our eyes, except that beardies don't have the visual range we do without moving their heads.
