Should you keep a water bowl in the tank?

i normally do but i’ve been doing some research and some say they shouldn’t need one

This comes more down to the individual and the circumstances. My beardies will drink directly from a water bowl and I do keep some water available. With that said you don't want to have too much water especially for little ones as is can be a possible hazard. The other concern is humidity, if the water causes humidity to be too high then it is best to do things like mist your beardies salads and mist them from time to time.
