So I never did follow that rule, ever. If a year old dragon, who isn't even full grown yet, wants a certain amount of bugs, I say you give him/her those bugs. I've never counted even as they grew older. The only thing I ever changed was Leo, from super worms to dubia roaches. He had fatty liver disease and that brought his blood results back to normal. Otherwise they get what they want. I find by 9 or 10 mo old, he'll start eating every 2nd day or less daily. I let the dragon decide, especially that young. Just keep up what you're doing, greens before bugs. You'll find the amount of dubia are shortly going to increase. He's now entering his biggest growing period in his life. That's why I said 9 or 10 mo old, when their appetite can change. Some don't change until they're more towards 2. Castiel is now 2 yrs old, I give him 4 worms a day, but might and that's still a decent amount. He's not gaining any weight with them, he's staying steady at 52 cm long and 604g. He's been around that weight since he was a year old, so giving him a few less a day keeps him healthy. He's also one that eats all his greens, too. He and Cierra are the only dragons that eat on their own, both bugs and greens. Imp is starting to eat dubia from the food dish but he didn't eat any today. That means tomorrow he gets force fed (meaning I put a roach between his lips and pushas I think he's lost some weight. So I insist he eats at least 12-14 roaches (1")
Are you going to give him other climbing things? You're talking about the resin vines? For babies? Yes, probably a good idea, even though you can twine them together to make a bigger vine.
Well, kids got here, helped them upstairs & for the first time they were all smiles to be here. Progress! They coloured, played blocks, think they would have stayed up all night if my son wasn't so tired and sick (cold with cough). So he's sound asleep and the kids are watching the LEGO movie. I still have a wash to get in an hour, had to run out for diapers there were none!
Luckily I'm getting a bonus this year, even though I was off sick so much, when I was at work, even though I was at the bottom of the pile, I was still considered efficient with my calls. Now to get in the swing again. I had 922 emails to plow thru, got 1/2 done in the 4 hours I was at work because I had to change all my passwords to all 7 programs we use. And next year is my 25th year, so I get an extra week off, plus they have to move all the hours that I had booked for vacation since Aug 19 and add them to my vacations for next year, which means I'm going to have a whopping huge amount of vacation time, which will be great, will get alot of 4 day weeks out of that. I love not coming in on Monday and we're a reduced crew, so makes sense. Gives me alot of long weekends, Monday to get over the kids being here on the weekend, LOL. But I'm still taking it easy to get full time. I think, after my manager saw me today, over 15 lbs lighter, she realized how sick I'd been. I feel better but don't want to push it.
I can't believe that the kids are still awake, Eric is still yelling at Leo to lie down & sleep & he's refusing. This is not a good thing, having them sleep together, but I just don't have any other room and I can't sleep with them, they'd never settle down if Dad wasn't there. That's what they're used to now. Sigh...
