scales on head

i just noticed that zanders scales on the top of his head are a darker brown then they usually are.. do you think this is because of his heat lamp?

yea i will definitely post pics tonight, my internet is going slow.. thank you satelite.. so it wont upload pics right now. but its a 160watt at 18 inches.

Did u say 160 watt?? How big is the enclosure he is in??!
A 160 watt bulb is what I had in my 4 foot tall enclosure and temps got to about 120....I hope he is in a very large enclosure or you will cook him.

yes, i did. its a huge tank. i dont know the exact dimensions though. his scales got alot lighter, so i dont think it was the bulb.

its also on a dimmer and its at an angle. so its not like directly pointed down. i will try and get pics up soon.
