I decided to start a thread for Sam so I can just post pictures, stories, etc. in one place.

They look like stress marks to me as well, run through your setup, maybe we can figure out why she has them. She's very cute!

Personally I wouldn't worry about those stress marks. It's possible that she's just cold or chilly. My goldie's "stress marks" toward her front legs are turning golden. I need to take a pic of them some time when they look gold. i love the coloring of them. Also, Rosie never really had stress marks, even when we first got her home and I knew she was stressed.

Setup is as follows:

40 gal breeder tank
100watt basking bulb one the warm side and a 75watt on the cool side(never have this one on unless it gets really cold)
Reptisun 10.0 UV Bulb. (24inch)

Temps are:
95-105 on hot side
75-85 on cool side

Using a digital therm with a probe to measure temps.

Using paper towels as substrate. Lights on at 7 am; off at 10pm. gets fed 2-3 times a day (crix, mealworms, or waxworms) and salad all day.

She seems to bask, poop and eat fine. No undigested food in her poop. I dust her crix once a day with flukers calcium dust. She gets a bath once to twice a week.

She is very cute!! What is the temp in her basking area? Also, in the picture, it looks like the UVB light is shining out rather than down...does it also point downward into the enclosure?
how long have you had her? The stress marks could still be from relocation stress.
It sounds like you are doing a great job with her!! congrats on your new baby!! :D

The fixture also points down. She has been in the tank for about a month now, so I hope it is not still relocation stress. Her basking spot is 100-105F, depending on the temps outside.

On a side note, I might be adopting an adult beardie from a coworker. She is getting ready to have her first baby and feels that she won't be able to give her BD the attention he needs. So, the hunt for another enclosure begins! Lol! :D

She is just the cutest...:) Good luck with your new VIV search. So awesome that you adopting a beardie! I adopted a baby and then adopted an adult from people who couldn't take care of them anymore. Its a nice feeling to give a needy animal a home. I rescue all my animals - dogs, cats and beardies now. I am very addicted... they are very awesome reptiles!

Can't wait to hear all about your new baby :)

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
