You guys are too funny...LOL.
My Vet isn't hot, but he's good to my animals, so I'll keep him..LOL. But how would one go about getting pictures of said hottie Vet? Should you say, well, umm, I was telling my extended family on BD. org that not only did you know what you were talking about, but you're hot, and now they want to see pictures of you..so cheese!..LOL. Or should you make like you're taking pictures because it's a United States forum, and we wanna see all the hot British/Canadian vets? And then what if he says No? I'd be mortified..LOL..
I agree..there's nothing wrong with a little "eye candy" every now and again..doesn't make you perverse, just human..LOL.

Im sorry its been so long guys.

Unfortunatly we had a family tragedy, and I havent really felt like posting here because its such a joyful thread.
A dear friend of the family, and a close companion of my father took his own life. We are all still in shock.

I dont believe that death is something to dwell on. Insted life should be celebrated so its not something I wish to think on so Id be greatful if we could just put it to one side. Deeply greatful ^_^


So

Ruben:

He is still in this wierd eating habit. He'll eat his salad every day but he'll only accept bugs every third day. I think its blackmail to get him something other than superworms. I cant get hold of any butterworms at the moment, and Im reluctant to give him locusts again because the legs tended to upset his digestive tract.
I know I could pull the legs off... but Im a bit of a wuss. Im ok with live feeders as its the "circle of life" as it were, but it feels a little unfair to pull their appendiges off before they meet their doom.
He simply cant "do" crickets. They move too quickly and he FREAKS if you try and tub-feed him. We're talking full beard tantrum.

Miso:

Well Miso is being a good little monster. She's eating one meal of roaches and one meal of crickets a day.
Thank the LORD Christy told me about crickets not being able to climb glass becasue its saving me a fortune.
She is NOT a fan of her medicine though.
We go through a daily battle to get 0.05 into her. As soon as she sees the syringe she starts trying to flee.
Ive gotten it in her eye once after a furious head flick at the wrong time, which mean I had to bathe her eye in water, which she was even more irrate about.
Generally the way Im getting it into her is to try to open her mouth manually, at which point she loses her temper and bites me.
Whilst she's attempting to gum me to death I squirt it in.
HA!
I dont fancy the idea of having to do that for Rube though. Oh those teef!
She'll then sit on her basking rock and puff herself in and out in a rage to show me just how cross she is.

Well Ive hit a snag with Miso's new viv.
I bought all the equipment I needed:

BUTTTTTT my plan isnt going to work. I had planned on having a long basking platform across the bottom stretching about a foot. Then I was going to have a large ramp attached to the back wall starting low in the middle and plataeu-ing at the hot side.
Unfortunatly Ive no realised I cant do this with an MVB because I cant get 12inches clearance. Boo! Thats the problem with wooden topped vivs. To get an MVB inside with the proper temperatures I can only have a basking platform at about 4inches high.

I toyed with the idea of just using an Arcadia, but it felt selfish to deprive her of an MVB just because I wanted to build her an interesting and challenging viv.
Im having to go back to the drawing board and figure out another way of making her some platforms and ramps away from her hotside.

Sulk. Sulk. Sulk.

Vet:
Sheesh girls! I should watch what I say. That was like throwing chum to a tank full of sharks! hehe.
He is handsome, but he is also fabulous.
Im due to go for my re-check next week so im sure I can formulate some kind of "oh i has to take your photo" plan.
There is little hope im going to manage to get out of that one without looking like
a. a stalker
b. a murderer

All I'm going to say is I'm sorry................. and that your family are in my prayers, and please know you can alway PM me.

Isn't it amazing that these little creatures have such a personality? Medicines are never easy to get into the beardies in a tasty manner, did you try with some baby food?

I know what you mean about a wood top viv, and the MVB, your not able to regulate the distance with temps and decorate, that's been my thought and basically stopping me from getting that particular type, so I'm still undecisive on open top verses front open vivs, just for that reason.

That pic of Miso, is just precious, what a sweet face and showing her creamy beard and belly. Always look forward to getting updates.

I swear there must be some sort of beardie underground network, because Sakura won't eat crix anymore..I swear it's a conspiracy to drive all of us slaves nuts..LOL. Would baby food work?..I'm just curious because I've never had to give meds to Sakura, but I do have two legged human children, and I've tried it, and it doesn't work if they don't eat all of what you put the med in..but if it works and it makes it easier for you and Miso..so be it.
Well, if the time ever comes, now I know who to consult with on Viv's. I'm sorry your plan didn't work..no sulking..LOL..I'm sure you and Mark can come up with another plan that will make everyone happy.
Yes, you've just chummed the water..there's no turning back now..LOL. Granted, I haven't known you for very long, but you don't strike me as a stalker or a murderer, and I'm sure your Vet doesn't feel that way either..LOL.

Miso and Rube are looking cuter every day. What are they to me? Like niece and nephew, or cousin....orr....idk, lol. They are just so amazingly healthy and adorable. You are such a good mommy.

I got Thoths stuff in him by upping his temps so he would therm reg himself then i put it in his mouth no trouble at all.

Im soooo glad the crickets are working out! Those glass dishs save me alot of time if im in a hurry.

Miso is soooo cute!!! *plots a way to get over the big pond to steal away a little dumpling* hehehe

-Okay..let's clarify..we're not horny ( well some of us might be..LOL.) I will speak for myself who just sometimes needs a temporary "change of scenery" if you will, to liven things up a bit..and then go back to my life. It's perfectly normal.
That is an awesome idea! Play it off like you're doing a scrapbook or photo album or whatever it's called in England..we'll have to refer to the "Brit to English" dictionary for that one later..LOL...on Rube and Miso and say you'd like him to be in the pictures with them....after all..he is part of the team that keeps them happy and healthy, right?..Right!
So I was wondering..what's going to happen now that you're going to work for that firm this summer? Are you still going to post? . I love listening to Rube and Miso's antics, and seeing their pictures, it gives me a laugh and a reason to procrastinate in the morning..LOL..I'm still trying to clean all the coffee out of my screen and keyboard with Rube's "GET AWAY FROM MA SALAD!" post and Miso sleeping smooshed up against the side of her viv..LMAO.
