Thanks for the update Michele. Sounds like she did do a little better today than yesterday and last night. Poor thing trying to poop but not able to push it out. Hopefully she'll go tomorrow. That's good that she was able to eat a little with no problems, did she act hungry?

So glad that you were able to get a nap and she did look comfortable in her viv then too. I have an idea, rather than sleeping the way that you did last night (worried about you too), you wouldn't happen to have a sleeping bag, cot or air mattress that you would both me more comfortable on, would you? I would think any of those would be easier on your neck and back and also give you a little room to move around.

It's good that you will be home with her tomorrow and hopefully you can both take a nap then too.

Hi Michele and Jojo, it's so good to hear that she was more comfortable today than yesterday. Hopefully you can get input from the vet tomorrow, but it sounds as if she's feeling better. As far as drinking, hard to say; when Lonzo was recovering he drank alot of water, either from his bath or I'd syringe drops on his nose with filtered water, with electrolyes and a few drops of calicum. Once he started drining, he started feeling much better. Maybe she's just a bit dehydrated? Just know that we're praying that she's feeling even better tomorrow. I'll be checking...

Diane,she did act a little hungry today when she took the first 2 licks of the food mixture but lost interest quickly.
No,I don't have a cot,air mattress or a sleeping bag but thanks for the suggestion. It really wasn't so bad on the loveseat lastnight.What hurt my neck was when I tried to sleep in the recliner. I don't want alot of room to move around because then I might roll over and hurt Jojo :shock: That's why I don't bring her into bed with me.
She is probably ok enough to sleep in her cage tonight but I want her with me.

Gina, that makes alot of sense that if she was in pain while she was sleeping she wouldn't have her happy colors on.I can sleep well knowing she is comfortable at the time being. If she was uncomfortable or in pain all night long there is no way I would be able to get any sleep.

Deb,you are right,she may have been a little dehydrated the past couple days and I'm sure the vomiting didn't help matters. I think all the water she drank lastnight and today is the reason she did much better today. Now if she will only poop tomorrow I will be a happy camper :wink:

Hello Michelle,

Try to get some sleep! Since Jojo's colors are good at night she sounds like she is comfortable anyway which should help you to sleep better.
She needs her mommy to be rested to help her more!
Great that she ate a little bit today & didn't throw it all up. She could be slightly dehydrated due to the throwing up, so some pedialyte is a good idea if it will stay down.
When was the last blood test done on her? Sorry, I don't remember.

I hope that she is feeling better soon.

I woke up about an hour ago to Jojo staring at me in the face :lol:
I would have to look through her huge stack of vet papers to be sure of the date but I think her blood work was done in 2007.

I just put a call into the vet office and I am waiting to hear back from Dr Sean's partner.
I'm about to put Jojo in the bath to see if I can get her to poop.She seems very uncomfortable this morning,her belly is twitching, and she hasn't drank much yet.

One of my fears is that the U.S won't show anything. You know how Jojo likes to keep us guessing. What do I do then?? Would blood tests show something that an U.S wouldn't? Something that would explain the swollen abdomen,hardness,vomiting and discomfort? I can't keep letting this go on while she is suffering

Morning Michele...I'm glad to see that Jojo got some rest. I wish you both lots of luck at the vet tomorrow in finding out what is troubling her. I can't answer the questions you asked I have no idea about that stuff...but I did want to pop in and do this....

I'll check back to see if you get a call back from the vet. At least she's a bit more comfortable, but sorry you're losing out on sleep. Sweetie was sick last night, too, all over me; she had a bit black beard when I got back from Nicole's (we're fostering her two beardies for a year), about 6:15p last night, so I cuddled her and cuddled her, she was really uncomfortable. I'm glad she was sick on me, at least she didn't aspirate, and she's looking better today. I'm just about to start baths, so HUGS to Jojo and good luck Michele, hopefully it's nothing serious.

Sorry she hasn't pooped yet, but her appetite hasn't been normal, right?
Isn't that a good sign, Michele, that her pain is not on the right side? If your looking down on Jojo from the top, her liver is on the right side, so hopefully the liver is not involved. I'll be so glad when she has the ultrasound, as I'm sure you are too! Are you taking time off from work?
