I popped in after being away for several days(not by choice) to see how Jojo's vet visit went.
To find that I had many pages to read to catch up. I'm so very sorry Michele. I know she's your world and she knows it too. She's such a sweet little trooper...know I'm thinking of you both an I will definately stop to say a prayer.

Aww Gina that is a beautiful picture!

Jojo slept more than I did. I couldn't get comfortable in the recliner(my neck) so I carefully moved over to the loveseat w/ Jojo. I had my head on one end and my feet dangling off the other end and Jojo on my chest. I slept from 3am-6:30am.I woke up 2x during that time to peek at Jojo.
She is the same today,maybe a little better.I still can't touch her belly without her flinching. I put her in her cage,in "her" position to warm up. I dabbed some water on her tongue and her eyes got wide,she turned her head towards the bowl,and stuck her tongue way out. I lifted her out of the cage and put her on my lap with the bowl of water and she stuck her face right in the water. She got so excited over that water and drank for quite awhile. I finally had to stop her because I didn't want her to overdo it. I will offer her some more later.

I'm glad to hear that she slept well and you were able to get a little bit of sleep as well. I am not good with words, but know that I am thinking and praying for you both!

Thank goodness Jojo had a good night . . . sorry you weren't able to get any rest though.

Like Sara, I'm not very good with words in upsetting situations. However, like the saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words".

That picture IS worth a thousand words...it is me watching over Jojo all night :wink:
She really does seem a little better today. I gave her a couple licks of a mixture of A/D,critical care,and benebac.I put her in the bath and she was really trying to poop but I can tell that every time she tried to push it out it hurt her belly too much I'm gonna try putting her back in the water later.

Hi Michele, I checked on this thread this morning before I even thought about starting my day. She does sound a little better and she looks more comfortable in her viv than she did all day yesterday. Good that she got some rest but you must be exhausted! Hopefully you're taking a much needed nap now.

That's good that she ate a little bit, sorry to hear that her belly is so tender/painful. I know her U.S. is on Tues but are you going to try to reach Dr. Sean tomorrow to fill him in?

Hello Michelle,

Sorry that little Jojo has has such a rough last two days! So have you!
It is impossible to know exactly what is going on without the ultra sound or possible blood tests. Poor girl, it sounds like she is very uncomfortable though with her belly being so sore.
Has she had a lot of water today? Did she hold all of her food down as well?
We are thinking about you & Jojo & hope that she will pull through. She is precious & I know how special she is to you, too.

Again...thanks so much everyone for your good thoughts and concern.
Her U.S appt is Tuesday. I'm going to call the vet office tomorrow just to see if there is anything i can do to keep Jojo comfortable until then. I know Dr Sean isn't there tomorrow but his partner will be.
Right now she is sound asleep next to me on the couch and her color is good. I think we will sleep the same way tonight as we did lastnight. I want to spend as much time with her as possible in case it's bad news on Tuesday.

She had that little bit of A/D and critical care mixture around noontime and there was no vomiting or dryheaving today thank goodness. She drank alot of water throughout the day.I googled it and found out that excessive thirst may be a symptom of liver failure. Vicky,I don't remember if she was quite this thirsty last time.

The poor girl hasn't pooped in 2 days. Today I gave her 4 baths trying to get her to poop and during the first 3 she was trying but just couldn't do it because her tummy is so tender. Her back legs were in the poopy position,her tail was lifted up a little, and her chin was right up against the side of the sink and she was "pushing".The poor baby On the 4th bath she didn't even try. Maybe the urge went away?
Her coloring was very dark this afternoon but she is fine now that she is sleeping.
Overall it was a much better day today than yesterday!

It really makes me feel good that you check on her webcam, and yes,I did take a 2 hour nap this afternoon :wink:

That picture Gina posted sure is perfect,especially the way the angel is lifting the blanket to peek,just like I keep doing with Jojo
