I finally had time to sit down and read this entire thread. Wow! Jojo is having quite the life experience, isn't she? All of this information as well as the x-ray pictures are very informative. I'm just waiting for Cam to decide she's going to start making eggs now too. If she does, I'll know where to come to get all my info!

Yes Michele, they are WAY too much alike. :lol: You certainly could have felt the eggs if she was in just the right position. That must have seemed very strange having to clean the poop off of her. If you want to do it daily, let me know & I will let you borrow Giz. :mrgreen:

I can just picture you following her around with the spoon & slurry. :lol: Like you didn't do enough walking today, right? Did she leave you a tip on the carpet? LOL Good that you got it all down her. No wonder she's not putting any weight back on with all the running around she's doing. Once she lays those eggs, hopefully she'll be able to relax more & you too!

I think I did about 10 miles today,between how busy I was at work and then chasing Jojo around.

Ps:Nah,I dont think I would enjoy cleaning poop off of a lizard every day :lol:

I just couldn't pass up mentioning the tip. Thought you'd get a kick out of that.
I'll bet you that she'll give you a run for your money tomorrow since you'll be home with her. She looked tired tonight.

So Miss Jojo is certainly gviing you a run for the money?I bet you did feel the eggs,dont push too hard looking for them.You dont want to rupture anything if it hasnt calcified yet although IF I were a betting woman I would say by Weds. or Thursday you will have yourself some eggs :wink: How is her belly looking today?Getting rounder?

Diane,thanks for watching her tonight while I was out. As soon as I got home I took her out and she fell asleep on my chest. Then as soon as I put her in her cage I fell asleep on the couch :lol:

Her belly is hanging kinda low. Dont worry,I dont push too hard. I have the best luck of feeling the eggs when she is in the water and I lightly graze her belly with my fingertips

I hope you are wrong about Wed or THurs. I want her to lay today or tomorrow since I dont have to work 8)

I forgot to tell you guys that she was awake and scratching at the glass before her lights came on this morning.She has already pooped too.
Im thinking about putting her lay box in the bath tub for the next 2 days while Im home. This way I can fill it all the way to the top with soil and maybe she will also realize that she has a job to do if she is put in the bathtub :mrgreen:
Im gonna hang a heatlamp from the curtain rod :lol:
I already took a shower this morning so the tub is all hers until tomorrow night.

Wow, I just read this whole thread. What a great informative thread. I never thought about infertile eggs before.

Miss Jojo, get those eggs out of you and get back to normal fast. Wishing a speedy recovery. Best of luck to Michele and Jojo.

Thats a great idea with the bathtub I definately think its worth a shot.I will hope to wrong on my predicition for you.I will keep my fingers crossed that tomorrow is the day but if not dont worry too much whether your home or not when its time she will do wha she has gotta do besides you can peak in on the webcam anytime you want,right? :wink:

Yup,I can watch her anytime but that would be torture being stuck at work when I know she is laying those eggs!

Well the bathtub thing didnt work too well.After all my hard work (and I ended up using a desklamp) she totally hated it and freaked out.At first she was shocked and didnt know what to do but she quickly realized that she was in a strange place. AFter about 10 minutes of her trying to climb out I took her out. Her heart was beating a mile a minute :shock: Here are some pics of the set up:

A "Jojo moment" today. Doesnt she look skinny but her belly is hanging very low??

At least she stopped losing weight since Ive been feeding her the slurry. She is staying at 626 for the past few days.

I tell ya she is one tough cookie.Her belly is hanging low you are right.She should start putting on some weight over the next couple of days but remember she is going to look scary thin after she drops those eggs so dont panic.

What a good try Michele, it was a good idea but I have to admit that she looked totally confused. Since she stressed out by it, you certainly did the right thing by taking her back out. Gee, she never even liked the big plastic bathtub you got for her, remember?

Her belly is hanging low and her sides to look thinner. It's looks like the eggs have dropped. Gee, maybe tomorrow when you're home, wouldn't that work out good. (Come on Jojo, lay those eggs for mommy so she can pamper you right afterward.) :silent:

Yeah Diane,Jojo is one for routine and if that routine is disrupted she gets very upset :roll:
You are right,she didnt like the plastic bathing bin at all.She has always insisted on the kitchen sink.

I forgot to tell you guys,she hasnt enjoyed her baths for the last 2 weeks either. She keeps climbing out :| :| and she hasnt drank either whereas before she would lower her head and drink during her bath at least every other day :?

Gee, that is unusual for her to not like her baths. With the humidity being higher now, maybe she doesn't feel as thirsty. Plus, the slurry you're feeding her may be quenching her thirst too.

I had a thought Michele, I've heard that some females prefer privacy when laying. Do you think laying a hand or dish towel over part of the laying box tomorrow might be worth a try? Think she'd tolerate that or do you think she would just not go near the lay box then?

When I first made the laybox I put a towel over it but she pulled it down.Then I tried a piece of cardboard and pulled that down too. She is a terror! :lol:

I think you are right about the slurry quenching her thirst.I'll just keep dabbing a little water on her tongue.
