Wow Michelle thanks for posting that.I do see the eggs there in the pic but it doesnt look like they are ready to be dropped yet to me.I dont know that it would just be follicles as they seem far to large for that.Lets see wat Tracie thinks when she gets on but from what I can see those are eggs(not yet shelled).Glad she poopped for you today that must have made you feel much better :mrgreen:

I think they are just about fully developed now. Ova in lizards have soft tissue opacity & don't have calcified shells that are radiographically viewed. They just appear as soft tissue in appearance but will look to be poorly mineralized calcified shells. That is why it is hard to tell what stage she is in based on viewing the x-rays.
Ultrasounds are very good at showing pregnancy or any complications in the coelomic cavity.
She appears to have a bit more time but it is looking like they are starting to drop or "appear" to be dropping as evidence of how low they are in the cavity. Plus, she is not eating very much either & they tend to lose their appetite right before they lay because the eggs are taking up so much room in the coelomic cavity.
Poor girl! At least though, you did get some food into her!
Definitely keep us posted on her. I think that she will be perfectly fine, as soon as she figures out what she is supposed to do with her laybox, that is. :lol:

not have any more clutches this year but....i am expecting more....we keep the lay box in her viv a a permanent fixture probly till the snow flys! :shock:

thanks for explanations. Omg,I could have sworn I felt the eggs today wile she was in the bath but when I tried again after I took her out of the water I couldnt feel them.

She trashed her cage again while I was at work.I watched her do it while I was at work on the webcam. She threw her salad and sand all over the place,and I also found dried poop on her rock AND all over her tail :| I have NEVER had to clean poop off her since she has been an adult!
I gave her a bath(where she pooped out another urate) and then afterwards I mixed her up some worm-gut slurry. She wouldnt stay still though so I ended up following her around with the dish of slurry and a spoon. Whenever she stopped she would take some of it She ate all of it eventually while she was running around.
So MalibuMom,did she lose alot of weight before and after all those clutches?

Yes Michele, they are WAY too much alike. :lol: You certainly could have felt the eggs if she was in just the right position. That must have seemed very strange having to clean the poop off of her. If you want to do it daily, let me know & I will let you borrow Giz. :mrgreen:

I can just picture you following her around with the spoon & slurry. :lol: Like you didn't do enough walking today, right? Did she leave you a tip on the carpet? LOL Good that you got it all down her. No wonder she's not putting any weight back on with all the running around she's doing. Once she lays those eggs, hopefully she'll be able to relax more & you too!

I did not notic weight loss Before eggs.....but after OMG she doesn't even look the same she drops LOTS of wieght after layin.
I will post some pics of before n after.
She doesn't stay skinny long becouse when shes done she eats like a pig.She will down 25 supers n salad easy.
The routine is wait till she done laying....you can tell after she gets done patting all the soil down w/ her chin.
I remove her n put her to the bath in her litterpan..scrub her w/ her toothbrush (she loves this)she will drink ALOT from her bath water n go under n swim...then i take her out dry her off.....feed her as much as she wants to eat dusted w/ reptivite w/o D3(has megaray)..then i wrap her in her fav. fleece n shes out for the night.I place her in her viv on her squashy pillow all wrapped in her fleece.
I remove laybox flush eggs put soil outside n replace it w/ fresh topsoil(all natural)...some times for some reason a couple of eggs will be delayed n she just plops them out randomly instead of in her lay box....places like rolling down her log.....on the steps....in the bath?????
she goes nuts for about 2 weeks before laying....after you pick her up n your like is this the same girl..she feels soo light.Then she will act like a normal mild mannered beardie for 2 weeks ....but eat like a juvie...
then shes pacing tryin to get out .She even runs laps around the loop in my apt,I just let her run it off now i think it may bring labor quicker.Kind of like shopping does for us.

I think I did about 10 miles today,between how busy I was at work and then chasing Jojo around.

It is so amzing the transformation from do nothing all day to running around hyper active like a beardie on 22 cups of coffee.
Like i said malibu goes about 28 days....just like our cycle i guess.You will notice the cycle n know what to look for after a couple of clutches.Prepare for a busy summer!or.....maybe you will get lucky w/ one clutch.Malibu
was 1 1/2 when she first layed last year.I prepared n watched for the sighns this year.she was early w her first clutch in end of april this year last year first was in july 1st...i was a week out of sugery for removal of tumor
on my brainstem...it was quite an adventure.The tumor was also in my vestubular which controlls you balance..
plus i was heavily medicated wobbleing around outside w/ my beardie wanting to run to the playground every day...my nieghbors were like yUP....she had brain surgery!Either that shes liquered up!

Is she still trashing her tank today running around like a mad woman? It is pretty funny though to see her go through that transformation though but, she will be all worn out though after laying. I give her a week or so & they should start dropping to be laid.

Oh my gosh you poor thing! I cant believe you had to deal with the egg laying right after you had major surgery :shock:

Yup another day of trashing the cage while I was at work. No eggs yet. She is acting nutty still :lol:
