If your day basking bulb isn't reaching the desired temperature I would look into fixing that by getting a higher wattage bulb rather than having two lights going. You need a day bulb of some sort, not just a red light.

Monitor the temperature. You can run both but it might cause the temperature to get too high or not create enough of a temperature gradient so that there isn't a sufficient cool side to the tank. Again, it's going to be easier and less costly to get a better day basking bulb instead of having your day bulb and a red bulb running since that will just add to wattage burning ($).

yeah i took the red light out and just put in another household bulb to add heat to the basking spot and now the cool side is like 75 and the basking spot fluctuates from like 105 to 107 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
