We brought Batman home when he was just two weeks old and today he is 10 weeks old and 10.5 inches! His tail started to shed again today...I think he's going to be a big guy

Awwww. Ladies!! Thank you so much for the support in all areas. Watching my kids grow up and knowing they're still young is STILL emotional. Then I think of my dad. I'm 33 and on a bad day...he still gets a call if my toe hurts! Haha! Just reminds me that he's still part of raising me at 33!

Batman just chowed 12 dubia. Here's the deal. Please help. He's eating the dubia AS LONG AS they're not dusted with ANYTHING. Weird. As a baby it was hard to get him to eat anything WITHOUT dusting on it.

What's that?? I've used the carnivor care every other day when he hasn't eaten. So at the moment he's getting the calcium and vitamins. I've only had to do this on the days his dubia were dusted as those are absolutely without a doubt the days he wouldn't eat a single one.

Do I start with liquid calcium and vitamins if he's refusing dusted food? If so, what brands? Same schedule?

He confuses me.

Welp. I'm heading home to walk my big boy into class for his first full day of preschool! I'll be back once I stop sobbing

darunia has started doing this too.. if i dust his crickets he wont eat them. i dont know why because he didnt care as a baby or even as a young juvie but lately he refuses to and its really annoying. i put the tiniest coat on it and pray he doesnt notice. but he doesnt mind the multivitamin powder? ugh, kids :lol:

im really glad batman ate today though, he is certainly a trooper! i will keep him in my thoughts. hopefully soon he will become more consistent with how he eats!

So much good news in one day. I know the feeling, Kristine, I still remember Eric going to pre-school and how he didn't need me to go in with him, but it was good to know he was doing well in school, so that sort of made up for it, sort of...so many mixed emotions as they get older, right?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEREMY, hope you were spoiled rotten today!

And Batman, 20 roaches . I think whatever Liz said will work, as he needs his calcium. They can be so strange with their supplements. Mine never had an issue, Roger put the calcium on their afternoon greens treats, which he fed them by hand, which is why none of them but Titan will eat out of a dish :roll: ...but I manage. When Roger passed away and I had to take care of them, I switched to liquids as it was easier to make sure they got what they needed, as they weren't eating as much as with Roger. So that's how it's been for the last 2 years. So liquid as opposed to powder can work fine.

Oh yes...yesterday was extremely emotional in so many weird ways. Haha! I was proud, happy, nervous, excited, little "sad" for a minute, grateful!

Keegan just got dropped off and once again...so happy to be there

Jeremy went and purchased a CHE for Batman yesterday. We realized the temp was just dropping too low for him right now. He literally looked like garbage yesterday morning to the point that I was scared. I'd never seen him SO dark or "stiff" and I know how that sounds. Please understand that I have read and researched but this is my first "cool nights" change in season with Batman and I just didn't realize temps dropping so low outside would play such a role in the temp of his tank. I warmed him up immediately and we started with the CHE last night on a dimmer.

He still had a wonderful day once that scare passed. He ate 20+ dubia and was fine. This morning he looked amazing and is already up to 16 dubia!

I'm taking Liz's advice and getting the liquids she uses (since I'm now a pro with a syringe ). I don't know what changed or why or how but he will NOT touch anything dusted.

Today I feel really good. Hailey is showing SUCH responsibility it's insane. Basically all I do is wake her up and (of course) do her hair, which I hope lasts a while! Other than that, she (pretty much always has) dresses herself, brushes her hair, gets her OWN breakfast, even grabs her lunch and water bottle and organizes her bag for the day.

Keegan...uhhhh...must have been completely drained. I left at 7:30a and he was still out cold. I even went in and moistened tanks, turned lights on, provided fresh water to the reptiles. He never moved! Haha!

Batman looked WONDERFUL. Full of color and FINALLY noticed the really dark patches of skin starting to go grayish. So, I think a shed is around the corner. He hasn't shed in SO long, used to be every 2 weeks!

Everyone is growing up!!!

Flash and Vraska are just wonderful. Easy, content, eating appropriately, sweet with the kids.

Today I feel quite relieved and pretty calm for someone like me

Just popping in to post a pretty decent pic update!

Legal worries have been put aside and I'm not even giving any of it a second of my time anymore. It's just not worth it.

Batman is doing fabulous! Still not eating AS MUCH as I'd like but he's going steady every day between 8 dubia on an "off" day and reaching over 20+ on a "good" day. Basically, every other day...but eating every day.

Ughhhhh. NO FOOD at all for Batman today

His last shed was either late June or early July and THIS is what his back looked like this morning:

Is it "normal" shedding? He's never shed in this way before. Not in patches and never started in that spot...

So, this is what he did/looked like allllll day:
