poops on me alot

I have a bearded dragon who poops on me almost twice a week! Is there any way to prevent this? he is very healthy so it is not a digestive problem. might just be my awful luck.

Pay attention and have a sheet of paper towelling handy, as soon as he looks like lifting his bum , slip the paper under there .

We all get pooed on occasionally , usually because we misread beardie's body language , weren't paying attention , tried to keep beardie on us when beardie wanted down or back into his tank because he was getting urgent.

Yeah ours refuses to poop in his cage and so ends up pooping on our laps ? we make sure we have loads of paper towels on hand, but have started using a 'pooping towel' that gets washed, as we found the liquid from the poops kept seeping through the paper lol xx

You could also try giving him a warm bath before you cuddle him. Some bearded dragons can learn to poop in the water. It makes it really easy to clean up after them -- all you have to do is dump it down the drain.

Best not to expect perfection though -- as others have already said, watch for the arch at the base of the tail and keep a towel handy.
