:lol: :lol: I'm sorry, Gina, that was really funny! At first, Pookie didn't seem to want her, now he can't do without Digi.

I feel for you and Pookie, I hate brumation, too. Sweetie and Rubio are flat out. I get them up once a week & give them baths, they drink water, don't normally want food, bask for a couple of hours & head back into their hides to sleep away another week. Last year Sweetie slept for 4 mo, Sept-Dec. It was the first winter any of our beardies had slept for so long. Freaky! So now I'm better at handling it. We're not without boys, though. Lonzo gets up every day for a few hours. Leo and Didi get up a couple times/week & eat, bath, water, bask for a few hours, then asleep again. I hate brumation, too!

So we have no female to lend you to give Pookie some company. Give him a hug for us, poor thing. Is he not sleeping alot? Guess he's like Lonzo.

This time last year, Pookie had already been tucking himself in (see first page) and barely made an appearance. I guess because Digi was up, Pookie felt the need to be up as well. But when I got home from work yesterday, he looked like he had given up and started the shut-down process.

I do have new pics of Zim, just need to upload them to PB. Buddy, however, haven't been cooperating for me to get new pics (unless you all want to see more of his squishy pokable turtle butt :roll.

You can borrow Pip. She seems to be depressed lately since I have been taking care of the new guy, Lenny. He has been sick and requiring extra attention. I think he is also trying to brumate....and Zippy I have to pull him out of the back of his cage to eat...he is awake just on the ground and hiding from the light but not sleeping. Its sad....I want my playful beardies back too! Cagney shows no signs of brumating...and Keeko....the baby is the most lively. Those are my sisters beardies...so lucky.

That was Digi on top of Buddy, and no, I put her up there and got the annoyed semi-hiss from Buddy, thus the stink eye in the pic.
Digi was waiting for Buddy to move and carry her along, but he just sat there, staring at her, waiting for her to get off. As soon as she jumped off, he made a bee-line for the grate and climbed up to the couch.

Such silly boogers.

few nights ago i tried to give my rat and chinchilla play date...not sure if they liked it. Diego (the rat) did, he wanted to chase Zoya, but she seemed to be little annoyed and she made noise telling him she doesn't like him...me not happy

Does anyone have a female beardie, who doesn't care about brumation, that I can borrow 'til the spring? My poor Pookie had been so bored these past two weeks that he barely moves off of his tree branch. Miss Digi had been comfortably sleeping her days away in the rock cave and only a mere glimpse of her tail is visible from the outside.
When I go up to Pookie's house and say hi, he'd look towards Digi's house and then back to me, as if he's saying "mommy, please wake her up". When he'd been out-n-about and exploring on the couch, he'd look around the living room as if he'd misplaced something.

I HATE BRUMATION!!!!

I agree 100%!!!! I just wonder how long this is gonna last....I do still have Chencho, Delila, Mojo and Fez awake but I miss my girls!

Hi Gina,
Zim is, as usual, beautiful, love his eyes. I'm glad he was willing to pose for you. The "regal" pic is great, too. We would love to have a dog, but we just don't have the space, so seeing pics of Zim sure helps. Digi is such a cutie, in her hide, just peeking out.
We got the whole gang up this am, Sweetie & Rubio especially, as they've been deep sleeping all week. Rubio drank some water, did a poop & was asleep again within a couple of hours, so he'll be out for another week. Same with Sweetie. It was sure nice to cuddle beardies again. You can tell they're all still sleepy, I had Didi on one shoulder this aft & Lonzo on the other shoulder, with Sweetie covered up on the bed; Roger and I were watching "Dog Whisperer" at the time. Beardie heaven :mrgreen: Roger even got a couple of pics of the boys sleeping on me together. They didn't even stir...I ALSO HATE BRUMATION, I miss my babies. Lonzo's the only one to wake up daily, but 1/2 the time he's waking up just as I"m leaving for work. It makes weekends a more special time. I guess Sweetie's going to do the same thing as last year, and she'll get up in January, ready to start laying eggs again.

I had to pluck Pookie out of his comfy house last night for some much needed snuggles (on my end). He tolerated my suffocating hugs for about 5 minutes, then quickly slinked himself off my chest and onto a throw pillow. Of course, I was still trying to give him kisses even though I had to almost contort my head/neck to reach his head, which prompted him to give me these "what in the world are you doing lady" looks.

Digi had been MIA for the past week, again. She doesn't even flinch when I touch her tail, which happened to be the only body part I can see. I still can't figure out why she's the one who'd been brumating and not Pookie. She's just a baby! She's not suppose to know anything about brumation yet! WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Oh, here's something else that's really pathetic -- because I was having snuggle withdrawals, I surrogated Buddy for Pookie and Digi and gave him hugs & kisses and more hugs & more kisses on Saturday. Lucky for me, he's very tolerant of me smooching all over him. But because it's just not the same as a beardie snuggle, I broke down and beardie knapped Pookie on Sunday :mrgreen:
