My poor baby Gianna. She had been totally freaking out every time sees anyone move past the bedroom door. This morning, she wouldn't even allow me to pick her up to comfort her. When I finally was able to pick her up, she would take a flying leap out of my hand and right back into her tank, then hide behind her stuffy. It took me about 5 minutes to finally be able to hold her in my hand without her squirming. I then took her into the living room to give her some crickets. At first she only wanted out, but then finally ate 2 and wanted out again. I held her for a short while until she decided that hiding inside my PJ top was a better place. Somehow that made her calm down and feel safer. Unfortunately, I couldn't leave her there because 1) I still needed to work and 2) she needed a
bath, to which she did really well. She went back into her tank after the
bath and was sitting on top of her tree branch, but as soon as she catches eye of me walking into the bathroom, she freaks out all over again.
What's really weird is that when we were at my parents' house, she was in open sights of the world. Granted, she wasn't in the family room with everyone, but whenever anyone went to the bathroom or walked up the stairs, she'd see it. Also, everyone had gone over to her to say hi throughout the day. How could a simple room change cause this much fright? God, am I going to end up giving her a heart attack??
