Diane, you're right, Digi did get more sleep. I really should be more tired than I feel right now, but then again, I haven't stopped checking in on her all day, so maybe once I finally tell myself to stop, I'd crash.

I had only opened the lid once, to stand the rack's legs up so the container wasn't so close to the heating pad (it was reading too hot with the lid closed), sneaked a peek to ensure that they're still plump, then adjusted the temp control so it wasn't so hot. Other than that, I was really good and left them alone. My biggest fear is that the vermiculite would be drying up because the temps were too high.

Pookie did finally do his thing (black beard/pace) by the girls' house this afternoon, but very briefly (a couple of minutes), and wasn't until MoMo had gone home.
Digi sat in front of her cave all day, only going in once (but came right back out). I was afraid that she'd get stressed out when MoMo went back in, but she didn't, not even when MoMo went over and sat on top of Digi's cave. What really surprised me was that MoMo never once bothered Digi - she walked around Digi (instead of the usual walk over) to get to the cave and then back to her own. She didn't even attempt to squeeze into Digi's cave for night night; instead, she climbed right up to her monkey (who sat on top of/behind HER cave) and snuggled up tight.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring :silent:

How hot is it with the lid closed? What's the humidity now?

Pookie is so funny. Wonder if they give off a certain scent after they have laid eggs?

Isn't that something that MoMo was real cautious walking around her & not stepping on her. They never cease to amaze us. Now she's watching out for her big sister.

Hopefully tomorrow you will have a quiet day for a change. Bet you would welcome that.

Wow! Lots has happened since I last popped in on you last. :lol:
So how many fertiles?
Wait, March 16th? It took until now for her to lay them? ....what a crazy girl...that's over 2 months. :?

Digi ate 4 white supers and about 6 pieces of greens - more than what I expected her to eat.
She's now sitting up, acting much more alert.

Hope you are resting okay now...as I know you didn't get any rest last night.

I have no idea what the humidity level is, since I don't have a gauge. The temps with the lid closed had been averaging 95'ish; not sure if it should be lower or higher.

Both girls had been very quiet today. After eating her breakfast, MoMo went and hugged Digi's tail (she was standing next to MoMo's puppy & cave) and stayed like that for hours. Even though she could've grabbed onto Digi's entire body, she didn't.

Digi ate 5 white supers and about 8 pieces of greens. YAY!

I KNOW! She probably would've started making the eggs ealier if MoMo hadn't been gravid. I'm convinced that she held onto those little swimmers until after MoMo laid her first clutch, otherwise they would've been laying at the same time. What I would do to get into their heads and understand their relationship.

Crap! I was just told that I may have cooked Digi's eggs because the temps were too high.
I'll be delivering her eggs to Tom tonight. Hope they'll still be ok.

Oh dear, I hope they are ok. Any idea what the max temp should be? I thought I had heard in the 80's for the right temp.

Glad to hear that all of you are having a quiet day. Did you get a good nights sleep?

That's so cute the way MoMo hugged her tail for hours. Wouldn't it be nice if we could find out what they're thinking and how much they know?

I was told the max should be 82-84F, hope nothing happened to them, but you'll find out tonight when you get to Tom's. Let us know! Awww isn't that cute that MoMo was hugging Digi's tail. That is amazing that Digi didn't make those eggs until after MoMo had her turn. Wow great sisters they are! I'll keep my fingers crossed about the eggs.

The eggs are now in the good hands of Tom. He said that the temps may have read that high because I had the probe sitting on the metal of the baking cooling rack, but because I had so much vermiculite in the container, giving it cushion from the heat, maybe the eggs weren't cooked afterall. Only time will tell.

Glad to hear Tom's got the eggs, so we'll know in a couple of months if they viable. Won't it be nice to see Digi & Pookie's babies, they're going to be so cute. Glad to hear that Digi is doing well, she'll have her weight back in no time.

If the eggs aren't any good, we should know before a month because they'll start to "change".

Oh, I got a grand tour of all of Tom's beardies, including two kitties, a fish, a tortoise (he has two, but one was hiding in a log) and a shepherd looking in a window.
I also got to see the poopers, and oh my, what darling little poopers they are! It sure was very difficult to not stuff one (or two) into my pocket :mrgreen:

so cool you are within driving distance to him -- I'll bet it was hard to not snarf up a few of them poopers -- i squee everytime Barbara and other breeders show mass pics... I couldn't do it, breed... I wouldn't want to give them new homes!!! We'll all keep positive thoughts that the eggs are ok -- Tom knows what he's doing, so he'll guide you

If it wasn't for Tom, I don't know what I'd do -- well, I do know, but I can't post it here because it's not PG-13 :roll: That's another reason why I'm so thankful that Tom's so close by. If I had an incubator, I'd be the proud grandma of 20 poopers and deep in debt :shock:

I'm not sure, haven't been keeping up with her other dragons. I know Diane is still hopeful that Judas & Misty will do the deed, so there's another possible grandbaby maker, but no luck so far. Otherwise, I'm not sure, wonder if she knows? Glad you got the eggs to Tom, he's the greatest!
How Digi today?

Digi's doing great! She ate 2 white and 3 regular supers and some greens this morning. Her head is going through a shed right now and had been rubbing on anything that's not soft, including MoMo's leg :laughing6:
MoMo's also doing great. She's back to eating like a little piggy, but for some strange reason, her fat pads on her head still haven't filled in completely.
I have to weigh the girls to see if they're gaining, including Pookie.
