Gina, I know you hate me right now... but there is something about those darn stones... Amethyst is said to be worn by healers, and dang it if my headache didn't subside while I was working with both amethyst sets... makes ya wonder!

I still am trying to figure out how I can make a Buddy couch, if its possible LOL... I'm looking thru my scrap bags to see if there's anything suitable... I may put the kids on it too, get their thinkin' caps on... my little inventors LOL

I have suffered chronic migraines for 30++ years... so to me, a 3-4 pain level is "normal" ... but when a 6-7-8 strikes, I get more than a little grumpy... 8.5-10 is barfville...

Anyway, I was about a 6 on the richter scale when I started playing with the amethyst, swarovski, howlite and hematite. I was not even thinking of all the chakra and energy qualities, BUT I do list the stone "meanings" in my etsy listings... so I just played with the stones until I liked the designs together... and after awhile I realized I was down to a 3 for pain...

It wasn't til I started taking pics that it hit me... Amethyst can help headaches... hematite can help mental clarity / sharpness (called the "stone of mental mastery") ... howlite is a tranquility stone... crystals (even swarovski) break up negative energy ... so it hit me what happened when I was making my inventory lists (I make a list of all components that go into each piece of jewelry, because some people have allergies / sensitivities and I feel I have to disclose all materials, just me, I'm anal like that LOL)

Sooooooooooooo... I think I am going to make a simple pendant for myself with an extra stone or two and keep it with me... Sorry if anyone thinks I'm nuts now, remember, I studied some weird stuff in college, and color / texture / energy / aura are all part of an artists life! (I am nuts, what of it!!! :shock: )

I suffer from migraines too, so if the stones truly have healing powers, especially with migraines, then I'll definitely consider it.


Funny Pookie tale to tell (I know, finally):
Last night, after lights out, I placed Pookie on the couch in hopes that he'd go and snuggle with MoMo (who was already tucked in on the couch, under the laptop), but instead, he climbed up onto the laptop and made comfy on the keyboard. When I finally decided that it was time for bed, I powered down the computer and gently told Pookie that I'd have to pick him up because I had to close the laptop's lid. Well, as soon as I lifted him off of the keyboard, he head bobbed me! Yes, he stared me down and bobbed at me! :roll: Funny part was that he didn't have a black beard or stress marks, nor did he give me a stink eye. But as soon as I apologized for moving him and explained why, he was ok and allowed me to wrap him up in his blankie.
What a stinky attitude, huh?

When I checked on the girls this morning, Digi was surprisingly awake and had her head at the entrance of her cave (MoMo was still comfortably tucked in my bed). I, of course, was elated and started talking to her, asking her if she'd entertain the idea of waking up today and come out to play with Pookie. Well, when I got home from work tonight, I saw Pookie sitting in front of the girls' house and only one beardie inside the tank, but she didn't look like MoMo. Once I got closer to the viv, I saw that the beardie sitting on one of the stuffies was Digi, and MoMo was hiding inside her cave, fast asleep. They did a switcheroo on me! :lol: (I am still amazed over how much my babies understand)
After about a half hour of sitting in her spa, Digi crawled under the laptop and tucked herself in for night night. By now it was past lights out, so of course Pookie had already climbed up his ladder but hadn't gone back into his house yet (I think he was waiting for Digi to come back). Since 8pm, my silly Pookster had been on sitting his ladder, staring over at Digi, wide awake, but yet refusing to come over and snuggle with her.

Somebody's going to be exhausted tomorrow :roll:
