I woke them all up this am, wanted company. I hope I'm not giving them a problem with brumation by waking them up, they're all going to have baths today. They may be thirsty :mrgreen: Any excuse to wake them up. It's Christmas Eve, too, so I'm busy baking and wrapping presents, and the way they all look, it'll be a couple of hours until they're awake enough to want to move around a bit :mrgreen:

Digi just woke up but still not moving out of her cave. I did ask her if she wanted to go to grandpa/grandma's house with me and Pookie later, and her eyes got all big and looked at me with a "ooo" look. I told her that that means she'll have to come out of her cave though. Hope she will.
MoMo, on the other hand, is still very soundly asleep. I'll have to pluck her out later. Same for Buddy. Those two could sleep through anything!


Pookie is currently surveying his house and all of the decorations. I'll post pics when I have time to deal with PB.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, enjoy the family you've got to spend the time with. Its just us now, everyone is spread out all over the US, so we're having a quiet understated Christmas. I did splurge to make my special quiche tomorrow, and of course pumpkin pies LOL... and chocolates!

Sometimes a quiet Christmas is the best way to go. No stress of having to be carted from one house to another under a time constraint, and having to eat too much food.


Cute Buddy story: Took everyone but Zim over to my parents' yesterday (my cousin had her dog over) and as always, Buddy went hiding underneath the coffee table against the corner of the leg (totally exposed, mind you). Well, Pumpkin (cousin's dog) had been semi-curious about what Buddy was but left him be until one of his toys flew past. As Pumpkin was crawling under the coffee table to retrieve the toy, he decided to make a pit stop and licked Buddy's butt. EGOD! He backed out, ran out of the family room and into the hallway, and over to his water bowl so fast that if you blinked, you would've missed it. He stood there drinking water for what seemed like an eternity! It was hysterical!
Guess turtle butts aren't very tasty :laughhard:

Yhew, I would think so, different anyway! That is so funny, guess Pumpkin will not do that again :mrgreen:
Leo & Didi are up today, I'm getting ready to go to my nephews for an hour or so, to get the Christmas spirit going...then home to bake & bake & bake, 6 doz of my Nanny's buns, 2 loaves of her brown bread and cinnimon buns. Wish me lots of shoulder strength!

We will have to collaborate on a book, you're stories need to be read by lots more people & there will be alot of good info on how to bring up bearded dragons! Don't you think that would be a great idea?

Do you have any time off over the holidays. I work on Dec 30, then I"m off until Jan 9. I'm so looking forward to this time off. I so need to clean, sort, put away. Sounds like fun, right?

I think my gift from Pookie this Christmas has got to be the best ever!

Since I had woken everyone up yesterday, I figured that I'd try keeping them awake for the day. As usual, Pookie walked over to the window after waking up and crawling out of his blankie. After Digi fully awoke, I placed her next to Pookie where he proceeded to beard poof and head bob at her, until little MoMo woke up and he caught glimpse of her. From first sight, he bobbed and poofed and totally forgot that Digi was still there. It wasn't til MoMo crawled out of her blankie and started to do pushups at him that he slowly made his way over. But, instead of charging or doing fierce foot stomps, he remained at least a 2-foot distance and only gray bearded and poofed at her. After a few minutes, he either lost interest or decided on something better to do and walked back to the window. He only stayed there for a little while before climbing on top of the panda bear (barrier) and over to the other window, where he'd been happily basking for the past hour.
Even after watching MoMo walk across the couch, he never moved or reacted. He allowed the girls to have a window all to themselves and granted my wish to be this to everyone because it's Christmas.

See! I told you Pookie didn't care for Momo because she was just a guest. Now that she's family, he doesn't mind her being there. I think you should come visit me and have a talk with Oscar and Mia, you might manage to convince them to "kiss and make up".

Maybe you should have Oscar read some of my crazy tales. Maybe he'll understand that sometimes you just have to make compromises and let bygones be bygones.
