Pointless and sad posts

Kaida commands that I use space on the internet to spread the pointless love of beardies. There is something we all have in common here, and that is the afformentioned love of beardies. Come winter of 2009 i hope to breed beardies and other reptiles. I have worked budgets out and covered all the logistics i can think of. The sad part about this whole process i'm going through, is that some people find my hopes and dreams pointless. BD.org is a place to share thoughts, ideas, and dreams of beardie futures. it makes me sad to think that someone would take the time to bash on what we love. thank you to all the beardie owners on this site that care. we need each other and someone's always been on the other end for me when i need help. How did you know that I'm very partial to that nursery rhyme. I use to... :roll: ...wait a minute still do like saying it with my own added words. :laughing6: Being a mother of 6 it pretty much fit now it fits again only with my dragons rather than kids.

I have been a member of this forum for 2 1/2 yrs
Up to date the only pointless and sad post i have read is this one.
Tracie has helped me so much with Fatboy when he was a little one.
I have never owned a reptile and thanks to this sight i have been
succesful in raising a very spoiled dragon .
Diamc is also very helpful when us noobies run in to little problems that
we are not sure how to deal with.
Fatboy was 7 inches long 3 weeks old when i got him.
He is now 21 incheslong and 650 grams. 2 1/2 yrs old.
They have so many knowledgable people here .
Thanks to all of you who have helped me through the years at
being succesful and keeping Fatboy happy and healthy.

Nixon was 6 months old, it was a warm day nearing the end of September. Nixon loved to go out in the back yard to eat, explore and soak up some natural rays. He must of spotted a bug that looked tasty because before I had a chance to react he was gone. Slipped through a crack under my deck. I ripped off some boards and crawled into the damp, dingy darkness to search for him. No luck.
Three weeks passed with night time temps. dropping below freezing. I did everything I could, searched for hours each day, left heating pads and hot water bottles, food anything and everything I could think of. I admitted defeat and accepted his death as my own fault.
Unfortunately that was a pain I'd have to relive because here is the shocker - Nixon was still alive. He was found in my neighbours yard clinging to life. Three weeks in sub zero temperatures caused horrible impactions that just couldn't be helped. A week later he died in my hands, in horrible pain and I was blindsided with the guilt of killing my little buddy all over again.

Now tell me again why you don't think a leash is a good idea.

Wow beardlover...that story brought tears to my eyes . How horrible that must have been for you. I am really sorry you had to lose Nixon that way.

Here is Foster sporting a black beard and sadly picking around the butternut squash I had fixed for him.

Sadly, Brady could not figure out how to fit his tail into the house at the same time that he was in there (and yes, his viv is very sadly plain, but we are working on his new house)
