Gina's belly is covered with stress marks, is there anything I can do? will they go away?

wow she is skinny the poor thing.
at the mo my boy has stress marks very often, he has been treated for coccidia in the last few months and hes on hunger strike but as hes going from juvie to adult the vet assures me hell eat when he wants to eat and its kinda like puberty so hes just grouchy, lol.
are the stress marks there constantly? or from time to time?
sorry if ive missed a post but has she been to the vet for a check up or a fecal done?

you say about her being nervy, i bought a nervy bd from someone privately in my area cos they had no time for her, shes 2 years old and overweight but shes so very nervy and jumpy, i couldnt do anything in her home without her shutting her eyes tightly or scatting around her viv and she hid all the time, try putting a piece of small clothing that smells of you in her viv so she can get used to your smell? i personally havent tried that but have heard it does work, my girl is a lot better now, shes started to bask and show her very pretty self a lot more now, shes braving it, lol
i hope your girl keeps improving she should do as long as your getting some grub in her, once she starts filking out a bit she should feel a lot better, keep up the calcium, multi vitamins maybe even some probiotics from time to time.

I havnt taken her to the vet, im assuming she is free or parisites because she didnt come from from a pet store or any sketchy people. The family i took her and twitch from got them from a breeder

well i think if she has permanent stress lines then i would think about taking her and seeing what the vet says, parasites can also come from crickets, so if you have had a bad batch she could get it from them.
hope she gets better

ill take her asap. I started breeding my own though does that mean all my crickets are bad?? I bought the first crickets online and ive been breeding them at home.

sorry im not that crix smart im afraid, all i know is crix are quite unhygenic when it comes to them dying quick, smelling and carrying some nasty bugs, its always best to get a fecal done anyway to just check that shes all clear for any kind of parasites and/or worms.
parasites and worms can effect a dragon when they have high amounts of them, low amounts are normally fine but high amounts would need to be treated by a proper herp vet. some effects of those are lethargy, lack of appetite, stress marks and slight black beards, better safe than sorry.

erm depends i think
i am already registered with our vet and he has seen them both previously so i can just drop off their poop, pay there and then and they let me know the next day when they phone me.
you maybe will have to call them and ask as they may want to see the dragon first and prehaps get a weight or maybe they will just accept the poop then and only then if anything comes up you will have to take him as they will definitely need to get a weight to administer a correct dose of medication if he needs any.

Yes, I saw the pic. Are you talking about Gina? She is thin. How is she doing now?
How is Twitch doing? Has he had any seizures today?
Your crickets that you are breeding should be fine. Keep dry food (gutload) in there 24/7 along with apples, potatoes or other sources of moisture in there to ensure that the crickets are loaded prior to feeding.

Twitch and Gina are doing alot better, other than the stress marks Gina is ok. Twitch hasn't had a seizure in a few days!!! im so happy. They were so cute today in the bath, Twitch is very small compared to her and he climbed on her back and fell asleep and Gina was swimming it was precious. i was watching making suer he didnt fall in =)

Great that Twitch has not had a seizure in a couple of days. I hope that he is getting better.
Keep a close eye on them when they are together as Gina is much larger & could bite him. I hope that they continue to improve for you. Keep us posted on them both.

Almost no one else is. It's kinda like "mmhmm." and you're like "Yes." If you know what I mean by that. It just makes me laugh because everyone is using computer shortcuts and lol's and you just type with correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

No offense to you haleygirl ....a formal education and age could play a big part in that. I am by no means trying to be sarcastic. I too have noticed this about Tracie's posts and I believe that is the reason why her advice on this site is so highly regarded.
