patrick wont eat while i am watching him!?

i have to hide my eyes and pretend i am looking at something else? he seems to be so concerned with my movements? as soon as i am looking away he gobbles up his food?

Mine is kind of like that too. I think they just like to people watch so they get distracted when we stare at them lol. If I enter the room while he's eating his veggies he'll stop and stare at me and won't continue eating until I look away, or get out of his eye sight.

I used to drop his crickets or roaches right in front of him. He got used to that so if I dropped on too far away he would just stare at me and wait for me to drop one right in front of him. If I walked away, or even just looked away he would eat the one I dropped to far away. So I started dropping them further and further away from him so now he doesn't do that as often, he actually chases after his food now.

Sully still does this, it drives me crazy! he can literally tell if I'm in a room by if the light near his tank (the room light) is turned on. the other day, he completely left his meal and shuffled to his basking spot when I accidentally walked in on him chowing down.

I just have to put the food in there and leave, otherwise he just stares at me or goes to do something else until I leave. gah! :roll:
