Norbert's day to day *Pic Heavy!*

Ive been wanting to make a thread for Norbert for a while now, so here it goes! This is Norbert's day to day life, his milestones, and just when I think he's being too gosh darn cute! :love5:

I think Ill start from the beginning. Norbert hatched in mid to late February and is from Daichu. He is around 4 months old now, and has been nothing short of the perfect dragon! He's put up with me obsessing over ever detail of his viv, inspecting him over and over many times a day, and just being over all paranoid. He is my first dragon, and Im a very proud slave!

This is Norbert the very first day I had him, right after I put him in his first viv:

After I moved him into his current 40 gallon breeder...He seemed MUCH happier!

Well, thats my summary of Norbert's life so far! I hope you enjoyed seeing his growth, and will follow his life with me here as it happens.

When he was shedding, it looked like a little white tracksuit on him! BTW- Congrats on the negative adenovirus test!

I thought the same thing when he was shedding. LOL And when the skin near his neck started to come up it looked like a turtle neck. :lol: And thank you! Im still so relieved about his results. Now, instead of worrying about if he has it or not, Im trying to decide about getting a second. Im so paranoid about exposing him to adeno, but I also really want to get a second dragon. I've got a lot of thinking and research to do. :study:

Just an update. I feel like I haven't posted in here in a while (though it's probably only been about a week :roll: )
This is what Norbert's day has consisted of:
He had a bath (I think he's going to need a new tub soon!)



Then he relaxed on the bed for a few minutes.




Then he wanted to explore and ended up here. :lol:




Got chilly and ended up here.






And lastly, got sleepy and ended up here (his life is just SO tiring :roll: )



That was basically his day, aside from eating and pooping.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL @ Norbert's butt sticking out of the pile of books, on top of the "Giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors", no less!!!

His eyes make him look so mischievous - they are so dark and bright (does that even make sense?). He could be doing absolutely nothing, and its like "Um, what are you up to, Norbert?"

LOL you always notice things that I completely miss! That's the perfect book for him to be climbing on cause, you know, he's so terrifying. :lol:
And I know exactly what you mean about his eyes. They're so expressive, and you wouldn't really think it! They look mischievous because he is!! He's constantly getting into places he shouldn't be and running off and making me crazy! He's REALLY good at running off and hiding, then making me worry so I start looking in his usual places (I'll be searching for a good 5 minutes), then ending up in the middle of the floor right behind me. I have NO clue how he just appears and re-appears like he does. :lol: At least I know he'll always come out from where ever he is. He can't sit still for long....unless he's napping. lol

Thank you so much! The last set of pictures is a little deceiving though. He's not actually THAT yellow, but I'd like to think that basking light is bringing out his natural yellows. lol My camera phone either makes him look WAY paler than he actually is, or way brighter. It's so hard to get a picture of him looking how he looks in real life.

It must be true that dragons get tired of foods. Lately, my spoiled Norbert has been standing next to his bowl and demanding to be hand fed each and every dubia. :shock: When I give in he eats his normal amount, but each one he has to eat off my finder tip. Today I decided to give him a special treat. I ordered the calcium pack from mulberry farms that comes with 50 butterworms and 100 reptiworms, put some of each in his bowl and sprinkled in some waxworms too, and he went CRAZY! Jumped down off his basking spot and dug in. Made me happy to see him so excited. :love5:

Aw, I do that every 2 weeks for Myah. She gets 2 butter worms, 2 horn worms and 2 silk worms! LOL! I buy so many feeders at that the shop I go to, that they'll throw in a few waxy's for free

Waxworms are Norbert's absolute favorite! I try to make sure he gets them in moderation, but I just love seeing him enjoy his food! He really likes butters too, but they're kind of expensive and I haven't been able to afford them as much as I'd like lately. I just ordered him some medium supers. It'll be his first time trying them so Im pretty excited for them to come. He reached 16.5 inches last week, and I read on here that they can eat supers when there 16 inches long, so I really hope he likes them!
