Norbert's day to day *Pic Heavy!*

Ive been wanting to make a thread for Norbert for a while now, so here it goes! This is Norbert's day to day life, his milestones, and just when I think he's being too gosh darn cute! :love5:

I think Ill start from the beginning. Norbert hatched in mid to late February and is from Daichu. He is around 4 months old now, and has been nothing short of the perfect dragon! He's put up with me obsessing over ever detail of his viv, inspecting him over and over many times a day, and just being over all paranoid. He is my first dragon, and Im a very proud slave!

This is Norbert the very first day I had him, right after I put him in his first viv:

After I moved him into his current 40 gallon breeder...He seemed MUCH happier!

Today Norbert went outside for his third time. I've been trying to get him used to being outside little by little. Last time he big bearded at a bird overhead and scared me half to death! This time, I got him a little kiddy pool with a towel in it and his basking platform, and he seemed a little more comfortable. He lasted about 15 minutes before he got antsy and jumped off the basking spot and ran up my chest, staring up at the sky and kinda half bearding. :roll: I did manage to take some pictures though! So here he is!

Soon after this he started to get nervous and ran back to be. :lol: He' such a cutie!

Thank you! I have a feeling he's going to grow big. He's only around 4 months right now and he's 14.5in long and 210 grams, and SUCH a sweetheart! I couldn't have asked for a better first beardie. :love5:

Edit: Right after I posted this Norbert took a big poo in his viv. He NEVER goes in there! I guess being outside got things moving. :lol:

Norbert is such a cute beardie I enjoyed looking at the pics as he's grown to this point. I liked the one right after he got done the first shed, he sitting up all tall and proud as if he's saying, "I'm a big boy!" Those kiddie pool pics are neat. I told my husband we need to get one for our dragons so they can each have a turn outside in the yard.

Thank you guys! He gets some nice orange coloring when he's not all white.

And about the kiddie pool...its really great! Especially for young ones before they can wear a leash (unless you don't mind replacing the leash as they grow). The first two times I tried to bring him outside and he was really nervous. After I got the pool he seemed more comfortable, and its great not to have to worry about him running too far. Im really excited for when he's big enough for a leash though. I hoping to be able to take him on short road trips during the summer.

Norbert has been pretty grouchy the past two days, but who can blame him! This was him yesterday:

He seems to get more irritated when his head sheds than any other part of his body. But it isn't effecting his love for dubia!









Excuse the skin everywhere! He goes a little crazy trying to get it off.

Oh, and just a quick question if anybody has an idea...do any of your dragons have slightly dark beards all the time? Norbert's beard toward the bottom is always a little black, is that just his coloring?

Im not sure about the question for the colouring, but is he a morph? Because his colours are way different than normal, and he has really clearr nails and light skin. He is absolutely gorgeous, perfect skin, colouring is beautiful and he looks really healthy! you are doing a great job! this little guy looks fabulous1 *squee* I want him xD sooo pretty! mine is just a normal colour I want to get a red one next > keep up the great work! I love seeing pictures of him

Aw thank you! Yes, hes a hypotranslucent. He started off more green but now with each shed hes getting more orange. I really love his clear nails. Id really like a red one too, but I always see them SO expensive. Someday...

Are the yellow ones called hypotranslucent? What are the red ones called? I forgot xD how much did e cost? Do you know how much a red one would cost?
