Yeah, but I think 'maggots' might refer to another sp.

FYI- These will pupate if allowed remain in the enclosure. I awoke today to find 2-3 flies in there. Not a big deal, as my beardie seems content to munch on these as well (though she is having a hard time catching them), but I just thought I'd point it out. It seems like an easy enough thing to avoid simply by pulling them out after a few minutes if left uneaten.

How long did it take for them to turn into flies?

I'll say about 4-5 days. I ended up going to petco and they have a "Lee's Mealworm Dish" for about 3 bucks that won't let them escape. I got one and I think my problems are solved. For what it's worth, the flies are big, slow, and stupid. You could basically catch them by hand.

So how are your beardies doing with the new feeder?

Really great! I have been using them for over a week now...the only thing I can say is to make sure you use an escape-proof dish. Just today my 4 month old has to have eaten at least 40 of them. If this rate continues I will definitely get the 1000ct next time. Make sure you dust them, too.

Also, I got better nutritional info:
Blue Bottle Fly Larvae
Moisture 68.54
Ash 1.44
Protein 16.10
Fat 8.21
Calories/Fat 77.73
Calcium (ml/100 grs) 32.90

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
