Me and my master thank you lol, Shenlong is doing really well, been with me a month now and just finished the second shed yesterday, someone has a nice new suit now

Shenlong was the first dragon that I ever held, kept coming running up to the glass in the shop to see what was going on and when he curled up in my hands and closed his eyes I knew he'd picked me to be his slave lol. Well that was the 16th of March and he was 8 weeks then and about 7 inches, after a few days settling in and the changing the uvb to the arcadia 12% +d3 after a week, he hasn't stopped growing! So now he's 13 weeks old and a healthy 11 inches tip to tip, picks at his salad when he feels like it and gets spoiled with a daily choice of crix, hoppers and calci worms. Made me laugh when I was a bit late with breakfast he looked at me and banged his fist down several times to let me know not to do it again! Such a little character. Seems to be well adjusted and hopefully he'll be bossing me around for a long time to come

Man my dragon is pretty small then(by the way his name is Smaug), maybe they're like humans and have growth spurts or something, or they're like birds and the females are bigger than the males I dunno oh well.

lol probably, but like I say, I do spoil my baby beardie quite a lot but I really did notice a big change when I put the d3 uvb tube in. has hit 11 1/2 inches now and still eating like a machine!

well have ordered Shenlong a new vivexotic viva+ 115 x 49 x 50 (L D H) should get here today or tomorrow and will set him up another bio-active tank, going to get some excavator clay and do some minecrafting this time too, see if I can't make it an even better home this time!

Hi! Shenlong really IS a beauty! He looks very comfortable with his new home. I had to laugh at the title of your post...I have said that i am my beardies servant since he came to us! He was actually bought for someone else, but he chose me as his slave, and there was no mistaking it! He owns me, and he knows it. ??? And I love being his servant! There is something special about Beardies; the ways they interact with humans, the many forms of communication--they truly enjoy our interactions, and seem to need the holding, cuddling, petting and yes, even head kissing that we slaves do, but wont admit it to others! My big boy was just a teensy baby when we got him, but he has grown so big so fast, that other servants cannot believe he is only a year and a half old! (He is twice the size of some three year olds) As a baby, I fed him every 3-4 hours, with all the supplemens, lights, etc as recommended, and that may have contributed to his size. I adore every inch of him!! It sounds like you are doing everything right, but if you have any questions or concerns, the members of this site are very helpful and knowlegeable..it has helped me alot, to read old posts for tons of Beardie info. And everyone here is just very nice. Maybe that is one of the traits our Beardies look for, in choosing their servants? -I hope Shenlong gives you all the love and joy that my DeziLu has given me, for many years. Please keep us informed as you and your new owner grow together, and send more photos of him and the new habitat---we love looking at other peoples Beardies and anything Beardie! awww, thank you fellow dragon slave DeziLu is a beauty too. will have a few more pics up later today or tomorrow just waiting to finish this current shed and see what wonderful surprise is going to be revealed the new viv should be here before 12 today, but give it a week or so to get set up and ready for Lord Shenlong to move in and claim dominion over his new kingdom and will post plenty of pics for everyone

Well, I've put his new viv together and it is very sexy ??? but I'm in work the next 3 nights so will need to wait before I start to fill it up

Payday next week and my birthday on the 12th so going to get me a new t5 unit and 12% tube as a little prezzie. The viv is 115cm or 45.25 inches so will have to get the 39w 38 inch tube but with this front ventilation system just wondered if anyone had any heating tips for the basking lamp?
