Zippers basking light just blew I had a exo terra sun glow 120v 60hz 100w, is that one ok, or do I need to get a different one?? Please tell me which one and I will go get it. Without it I cant get his tank to 105 only 90.
You can use pretty much anything as a basking light. If that's what gets you to 105, get a new one. Make sure the fixture is rated for that high of a bulb. You could also try a zoo med basking bulb, or a higher wattage normal old household bulb.
For the basking bulb just make sure you get something clear and not "soft white", "reveal", or anything tinted. Clear and daylight are words to look for. You might experiment with wattages to see what works for your weather, household temps and enclosure.
