Need Help with PETCO petition ..UPDATE new problems!10/21/09

and for all of you who want to dump on the stores, dump on the corporation, not the employees, at least the one's who care. I hate the company I work for, but I'd rather violate rules and keep all the animals in my store healthy and get my ass chewed than see more sick and dead.

Btw, I filed a corporate complaint against my General manager today, he's under investigation. Let's hope that I get the store If he gets canned.

PM me the location of your store, I'll get your RCAC's email address and everyone can mass email them. I'm actually a petco manager and I'm in the process of fighting the good fight.. After a beardie died and 3 more were impacted, I was told to still keep them on sand.. SO i put all of them.. eight... in the back room, on carpet. I'm going to post my district manager's and RCAC's email tomorrow.. they'll get the point if they have a few hundred emails in their inbox.

I was at a Petco today in Lakewood California the poor lil guys didn't look very happy. I think they were on sand substrate as well.. 5/6 lil ones in a small 10-15 tank if that... forgot to check temps/humidity..49.99 on sale.. They will lay there forever at that price... They used to have a very knowledgable young lady from reptiles Unlmtd in Long Beach working there, she was the bomb..

Yes its a very sad sight to see.We will just keep trying to get them to change their ways and until they do just keep spreading the word.

While in the BD.org chatroom there was a guy who thought he had a Bearded Dragon. It was actually a chinese water dragon... He said that he got it at PetCo. How awful is that? Makes me hate PetCo even more... Why would they let someone walk out the door with a animal when they think it was a totally different species?

We just had a Petco open up in vero beach...first off, Awful grand opening...good looking store..but no one any where to help you. Then if you did find someone they either a) had no idea about that dept. or b) seem like you were interupting them. I'll stick to my local pet store folks or if I need something from a big chain Petsmart is the place...at least at those locations people wanna help and know their dept.!
