Nathaniel, Cierra, Castiel, Freya, Grrl; RIP GABRIEL

We never expected to get another dragon, but our neighbours next door wanted to give away Cleo, as he was called. We'd babysat him before, he's such a sweetheart. We nicknamed him Velcro because when he snuggles he never wants to go back to his viv, he hangs on as if he's made out of velcro.

So here he is. Today was his first day with us. He ate 13 supers and ate some squash, not bad for the first day he was here. He's only in a 30 gallon tank, which will be ok for now. He's 18" long but weighs only 200g. We figure he's probably 2 yrs old. Our neighbours rescued him last fall, they found him and a female (which they named Puff) on Craig's list. They were in a 30 gallon dirty tank, with sand and a huge log that took up 1/2 the space in the tank. Leo was at the bottom, he was sooooo skinny. He's gained weight, but never got the attention he deserved. I took some pics today, but will take more tomorrow. I think he remembers our place as didn't get stressed as I expected. No stress marks at all. When we let him run around the living room, he noticed our girls and immediate black beard, so his hormones are working!

He had a bath this morning, had a big poop, no smell, so not worried about parasites.

Bunny's alot of fun. Yesterday I didn't have any time with her but did have a nap with Didi and Gabriel. When I woke up, as had to get to my sis-in-law's, they glared at me for waking them up. When I put Gabriel to bed, he tried to climb my arm, guess he wasn't ready for bed. I stayed over at my brother & sis-in-law's so got home at 9a but only Lonzo had woken up, so they're still basking & now I have to get breakfast done, as have to drop over at my son's to give him his gifts.

The biggest surprise & present was my sister & b-i-l bought all of us tickets to go to Cirque du Soleil, who are in Vancouver, so we all have front row seats on Jan 6 at the 1p show. I can't wait. A friend of mine saw the show & said it was magnificent! My sister & b-i-l are so generous, I mean that's 12 tickets, plus their two!

So it was a wonderful Christmas day, after everyone else left, Annika and her sister Cristina and I sat up talking, watching my 6 yr old nephew buzz around (he was on a suger high :lol: ) and my 12 yr old nephew find things to do to stay up later. It was a great day & it was great to just stay over and not worry about traffic or weather.

Congratulations, Deb. I expect pics (if you can) and information after it's over. I sure will be glad to have warm back again. It's not gotten very warm yet but we are due for another cold snap tomorrow. The low is supposed to be about 30f and a high around 51. I am soo tired of the cold. It's going on 3 weeks of the cold and I don't like more than 2 weeks of cold. I live in AZ so I don't have to deal with cold. Thank God for my Santa hat. If it's still cold after January 1st, I will still wear it to keep my head warm, no matter what smartaleck remarks I get.

Hi Brenda, yes, that's the ramp (thanks Gina) that my hubby put together and the dragons love it. There's a Power Sun at the top, so they can be out for hours, if they want. And you checked out most of my thread, that's ALOT of pages, hope you skimmed through & hope you had a great Christmas! Can't blame you for not trusting the kitties, I'm allergic so only have dragons, which makes it easier for them to roam. Roger found a box of toys in the basement of our building, so he brought them up & put them along both sides, mostly to give them something else to play with & to prevent dragons hiding under the hide :lol: That's Rubio, my big boy, on top of the ramp.

So I made a batch of cookies for work on Thursday, 58 in all (gave 15 wrapped up to my boss) and they were gone in two days! So that was great, may do that again when I go back.

I'm now baking for my son & will deliver everything later tonight, cinnamon buns and chocolate no bake cookies.

Well Eric called me back and said he had so much to eat it would be better to hold off on the buns & cookies until he moves in 2 weeks. Told him that would suit me fine, too, so if he needed to me on Jan 16, moving day, to let me know, otherwise I'd make them up for the weekend. It's nice to be hearing from him on a regular basis again. Now if only I could talk to Tara and get that nonsense sorted out, that would make me feel better & I think Eric, too. She friended me on Facebook, not sure why, though!

I had a snuggle with Gabriel, we both fell asleep in front of the TV. I woke with a start & woke him up, he sure wasn't pleased, so put him to bed and went to bed myself. That was at 8p, now it's 1a and I'm wide awake, so guess will try to get a bit more sleep, as have gym this morning.

Holly, if I lived closer I'd make you some buns, too. They're so easy to make, they just take time for the rising, but I've been told by my niece that they're very yummy, so I'm making her more on Monday to give to her on Tuesday at my mom's for New Year's.

Bunny decided to hide tonight, so wasn't able to get her out for some playtime.
