You can trim them if they get too sharp. Adding a rough-ish rock or some tile to the enclosure can help file them down too. If you clip them, just take some small nail clippers and run them along the back of the nail. Toward the tip you'll feel a groove and you can cut beyond that. Just the very fine/sharp tip. It's also good to keep some cornstarch or styptic powder on hand in case you cut too far up by mistake and it starts to bleed. You can also just file them a bit using an emery board. I've found it's tough to keep them still for very long so I'd plan on trimming one hand/foot at a time then give some time to run around if needed before moving to the others.
