My Male Munchie on his first "real" car ride

I had to snap a pic of home cuz it was too cute.... he was riding on the dash carpet on the towel... but he doesn't like the look of storm clouds either...

I'm new to dragons. Can you really take them places like this?

I have always taking my adult dragons places but mostly to the pet supermarket, PETCO, or petsmart... or to a friends... Munchie acts as if I'm his security blanket such as if it starts thundering he will be at the front of his cage going crazy until I take him out and put him on my shoulder or chest then he is fine... I love all my dragons but he has to be the one I connect and bonded with fast... there is also mutual trust too as he trusts me to even check in His mouth and him not bite me no matter what..
But that's just my dragon as each one is different...

Plus the white towel under him is his "blankie" which he likes to sleep on and under... so that's why he stayed there on the ride to my friends and back which was like 45 min each way... plus even went to get some crickets until my order arrives Wednesday from fluker's but he stayed right on my shoulder except when he seen a big piece of grapevine that I guess he liked and crawled onto it so I bought it and that's his new basking branch...

That is along the highway here in florida between Dade city where we live to lakeland where my friend lives...

Why do bearded drago's sometimes gape?

I dunno but he does it all the time... I know its part of thermoregulating nut he does it even when being held or after eating... I guess we can call it a beardie smile cuz he does it for almost every pic I take now of him...

Also I just remembered some reptiles do gape to taste the air can't remember who told me that some agamas beardies included has jacobsons organs but don't hold me to it but I was told that.... it was back in 2003 when I was breeding chris allen reds and ogg beardies...
